i had a 120 d It had bridgestones and continentals when i got it,and i had to buy pirelli s one xmas as it was all i could get locally They cost 400 each 205 55 16.They were nicer riding than either the contis or bridegstones, and there was absolutley nothing wrong with them at all except quite harsh riding.I cant tell you how long they would last but i put a lot of ks on that car and the pirellies were fine for wear..Be aware that if you do get a puncture the tyre shop probably WONT fix it. The next pair of Pirellis i bought were just under three hundred each so shop around well in advance of when you actuallyy NEED them.

investigate the armrest in the back seat that may enable access to the boot. There is/was a ski bag option which lets you have long things come into the car but encased in a bag wg=hich pushed through from the boot. The bag was removeable i think. If that was removed then the sealing between the cabin and boot would be severely compromised

True dat,but I think most people think that as soon as a car gets OLD, its a never ending unreliable money pit

when driving a "new car" the first thing i do is make sure the seat is down in a low if not the lowest psition I am 6 3 with a long body and every BMW i have ever driven feels good as soon as i lower the seat.E 34 are narrowish but plenty long enough for any driver...with above caveat I hate the rear lights of the e90,e 91 aint bad but e 92 is ok

do the prep yourself then pay the expert for the match and the paint, get any stone chips etc done at same time.I got rear ended in the 535,and i only paid an extra few dollars to get my stone chips to disapear at the same time

Same with my e34 but major repairs could easily equal the value of the car over a year

Given that the originals have lasted either 400 thou k or maybe half that,is a stainless piston going to be of beneefit? Will the car still be going at 800 thou ks?
