Its the torque converters I despise,i like the direct connection between foot and rear wheels,"tiptronic" just doesnt do it i hate that throttle of and coast feel.

dont do amything to the engine till you have done the diff.The v8 is massively overgeared esp the manuals 2.89 not sure what the auto will have but that in itself will make a big difference to response

Almost certain to be control arm bushes then -
strangely apart from a few 2007 and 2008 550 yours was the only hit for bmw station wagon >5000cc

But you lose 1000 s of ks of wear too.Dont forget to check the front wheel hub bore size/ hub centric rings, e 34 very sensitive to that too, bet your shimmy is worst at 95km hr -

M30 also known for cracking heads eventually,mine did and i looked after it well

i took a e61 525 touring for a test drive.It was a BMWNZ photo car.It had almost every option available.The two that spring to mind are lane depature warning and it had Head up display.Lacked a wee bit of torque but was a nice drive

i beleive the tds will do 7-8 litres per 100 k on the open road 143 PS / 141 bhp / 105 kW@ 4800 rpm 260 Nm / 192 ft.lb / 26.5kgm @ 2200 rp m

What oil do you run?surely a synthetic will be good for at least 10k for your sort of running?check out the cost of buying the "bmw" oil from a dealer take your own containers and buy the quantity you need I buy a new pair of bulbs when I need 1 and then keep the old as an emergency spare

Ask hutt automatics if they would do the whole job?,if they wont go to page european in home st and talk to them.if you live in the hutt go and talk to hutt european or whatever they are called
