Its still illegal to run non-standard (read non-plates.co.nz) plates. Just not for WOF. You can get a WOF with any plate you like, but that doesn't mean you can drive down the road and not get fined for it.

I do all my work on a dirt floor. Makes it even more impressive I say - when your digging around on the floor in the dirt for a spring clip for the 10,022nd time... Make them show you where in the WOF rules it refers to license plates (it doesn't). They only check the license plate lights. You don't even need plates to get a WOF. This is because you cannot even register a vehicle if it doesn't have a WOF, so how can a WOF require plates. Can't get plates without WOF.

Or you could cut the bonnet release to half thickness - still plenty strong enough. i have the same speakers and they look almost factory - cut kickpanels and modded release lever. If you want to go baller hook the cable up to a solenoid and have electric bonnet release. If your batt is flat use the emergency method using a flat blade screwdriver on the latch (legit). The prob with 5.25" components is that there are bugger all to choose from.

My grandfather is similar - has countless speed related scooter sccidents and constantly complains his scooter isn't fast as the newest ones out. He's been banned from several local shops for going too fast inside. I don't know if its boy racer or just old-man impatience though.

What width are your tyres? profile is a ratio of tyre width. With 40's on a 16" rim you need 245's! Assuming 205's, you need a 50 profile. Save the cert money and spend it on correct size tyres. Your speedo must be reading crazy fast!

1) the current student loan scheme will prob stay no matter what - it was an electioneering scheme and now its in I doubt it will go so forget that. BTW no matter how long you take to pay of your student loan, its f**k all out of your life, and if you actually did a decent degree instead of some f**kall BA then you would earn enough so it didn't matter. I had a student loan - took less than 9 months to pay off on my fat new out-of-uni salary (saving hard of course and working while at uni to minimise the loan - my parents paid for diddley). 2) MMP is all about voting for the minority party whose policies you believe in. Chances are the plebs will vote the majority parties in, so the more votes the minority party whose policies you agree with get, the more say they have come coalition time. The strategy is - decide which majority is the lesser evil. Look at who they say they will form a coalition with. Decide which one of those you agree the most with and vote for them. Hopefully they get enough votes that the majority party you looked at joins up with them to form a government and (unless you are EVEN MORE cynical than me)at least your party gets a say. 3) It is attitudes like the this - People think these are worth voting for: Labour (f**k up my nice rental portfolio) "Lesbian Helen" vs National (Tax breaks vs. social cost, just to wind up Labour anyway - didn't they sell our assets and cause half of the problems with SOE's that they are now blaming Labour for?) "I'm a homo - John Key" - that is what has got us f**ked in the first place. Bring on the Gustatorship/bravosocialist coalition.
