I say dont change the current laws regarding speeding, mods etc. Bring in compulsory 3rd party insurance. Bring in instant and indefinate loss of license for those involved in street racing. You can only get it back by starting from scratch on your learners AFTER completing an approved disqualified drivers course after the 6/9/12months disqualification period. Car is impounded and sold. Then introduce a sliding scale backwards from there for less serious 'boy racer' typeoffences. Bring in the ability to revoke licenses of spectators, or if they have no license then make it harder for them to get one as they shouldn't be allowed to drive if they encourage that kind of behaviour. Provide better events for those that want to to thrash their cars.

What offset can I get away with without spacers? The momos are +35 and are fine and no spacers (no clearance issues - just have hub-centric locating rings). What are yours emma? There are lots of +38 rims on TM in 4x100. Wondering if I'm going to run into trouble.

Do you mean the plastic film to protect them from getting broken? Buy it in sheets from supercheap or similar, and cut to size.

Could be fuel also seeing as you were mucking around with that. Had a loose fuel pump relay the other day and exactly the same symptoms.

Long shot: Anyone got some momo X1's for sale? I bent two of mine about an hour ago on Northland's lovely roads. I will be contactng the RCA toorrow. They are pretty f**ked and took 2 week-old Dunlop SP Sport MAxx's with them not to mention any suspension damage I'm yet to discover. Really keen to buy a couple (or a whole set) to replace them. AFAIK, as long as it is for the same motor it will work (ie 325, 320 etc) You may want to be a bit picky if you need one with cruise control and OBC take-offs as some had them and some had the pins but no harness (so just need the harness) and some didn't have it at all - same with service indicator lights. Will knows all the ins and outs so maybe ask him about what you need and what is available and he should be able to tell you if it'll work.
