I don't know, but would be interested in finding out - maybe some pics of the commy diff to see how different it is? Maybe dimensions too (between output flanges, from axle centreline to input flange, bolt pattern and PCD.)

    Quick Questions

Its fine. Keep it. They're pretty cheap though. If you actually needed a new clutch you may as well buy new. There's nothing wrong with having a serviceable spare lying around though.

    Paris

She's no different to half the empty females floating 'round these days... OK maybe a couple of hundred mill does make a difference.
  11. The H&R rep is apparently coming to the motorworx BBQ if you want to quiz him/her.
  12. Yeah - you know, the place where they sell BMWs? They are not cheap, but from memory the iS lips aren't much more new than they are secondhand.
  13. OK, so the guy obviously has a chip the size of Uluru on his shoulder, but even so there are a lot of similarites to the way this country is going and its hilarious to boot. UKOK? A little gem:
  14. Welcome. I see you found the place ok...
  15. I've never had bad experiences with AA, but a car importer once told me to use someone else as the AA inspections are average and they don't even do a compression test That doesn't mean AA are crap, but it adds weight to going elsewhere. Talking about inspections, a prospective buyer had one done on one of my cars, and I couldn't believe how useless they were (not AA - just a local mechanic). Missed quite a few obvious issues (gearbox whine, huge play in gearshift, shimmy in brakes, grooved brake disc, non functioning temp guage... list goes on) And all they told the buyer was it had a small ding somewhere on it and probably needed a good service (had acutally had one the week before). The buyer asked me why the inspector hadn't picked up on all those things (which I had already told them about) and the only thing i could say was "well they were crap - I guess you wasted your money." They bought the car on my word in the end.
  16. They're Australian. Bought them from AVS in New Plymouth. www.speedywheels.com.au Hyper Fang II
  17. Thats interesting Sam, I thought they would have been. Each to their own though. Cheers for all the comments for AND against. I never mind as long as they're constructive or simply stating an opinion.
  18. Welcome mate. All these new members is good for the diversity of the site. Bring it on I say. Take off your shoes and post pics of the car when you get it. Chur.
  19. Love the news section. Keep it up Ollie/Andrew.
  20. Yeah I agree. Have BMW ones to go on - should be on by Sat all going to plan. See them in the flesh there.
  21. They're several kg's lighter than the momo's so they probably will haha.
  22. New rims. Bent two of my old ones. Sorry about fuzziness of the odd pic - in a hurry this morning.
  23. Castor is the angle of the wheels fore/aft of the suspension axis. On some suspension setups (like in many BMW's and Mercs), the camber does change with steering. This system shown here is a more dynamic and adjustable way of doing it that doesn't restrict the suspension design. in other words you can have any setup you like (mcPherson Strut or double wishbone etc) with a geometry that suits the car and even adjustable ride height, and still run adjustable camber with different settings for road and track. you can also infinitely change the amount of camber by changing the length of the control arm on the pivot. I have no idea how good it is. Only posted it for interest sake.
