I emailed the seller and told him/her that was my intention - hence the reason I prob havn't had a reply. I basically said I'm looking about, would be interested in a chinwag at the least, or some comments re the cars in general and a test drive if they felt that way inclined, but that I was just kicking tyres atm. Honesty first. So its up to them if they want to indulge me with their time. I know what a PITA tyre kickers are so would never be one myself without good reason.

1987 Mercedes 190e Cosworth - need to sell A.S.A.P

Nah its ok man. Emma - ah - I didn't read. -
Dude this thread is 2 years old.

There's one on TM atm that I've got my eye on, but TBH I'm not really in any position to go car shopping right now as I'm only a skip and a jump away from a 2-3 year OE. It's Dakkar yellow, $22k and lowish kms - looks the biz. Have asked the owner to tee up a test drive via email, but no reply as of yet. Found the link.

Can't beleive this thread is still rocketing along - must be the perpetuatingly good subject of my fine hair and stunning good looks keeping it going...

Missing AMG boot spoiler, but still well priced. I almost bought one of these before I bought the 325. I'm with Will - if I didn't liveall the way up here I'd be seriously interested. Don't suppose you're planning a trip to Auckland any time soon? -
Did this sell? What did you end up getting for it?

Oh Chris (nz320i, not ED1RTY), Keiti is moving to auckland soon too so I'll be down there a bit to see her. I know you had yarns regarding going overseas, so we should catch up over a beer sometime.

Emma - If you can't remember saying them, then that doesn't mean they didn't happen. With the exception of the top one - they were all last weekend and I have bimmersport witnesses to back me up. Why do I do it? For the greater entertainment of all. In return for being your personal entertainment emma and bearing the brunt of all the ginger jokes - MOF out.

discretion is the better part of valour eh rog?

Cool - its always good when you have good experiences with a particular company. Show your support by using them again in the future.

Will be fine if he's sensible. Sensible and 15 may be an oxymoron though. WOuld hate to see him put such a fine example into a tree.

I know what you mean Rog, my old man can't stand a noisy exhaust tone - I reversed the snorkel on the 4x4 we own together so water wouldn't splash in on enthusiastic stream crossings and nextthing i knew he'd put it back complaining about the drone it made facing the passenger compartment (I thought it sounded badass). If you're not happy with something you need to put it right whether everyone else thinks you're a plonker or not. I would have loved the sound myself but its horses for courses am I right?

What kerry is saying is run the higher octane. Engines that have been run on a particular octane rating for a long time sometimes don't run so well when changed, but this is complicated as there are two different types of octane ratings and the one that matters isn't the one labeled at the fuel pump. I won't get into all that here esp. as I am no expert, but long story short, run it on the higher octane, if you don't notice particularly poor fuel consumption or "pinking" then sweet.

I'm too much of a pussy to admit any of my confessions.

I have the large BMW "bible" as you refer it - first book like this I found that actually has a decent amount of text, not just pictures. Picked it up when I was in Aussy last year.

I was going to go down in my mates caddy, but other commitments meant I had to bail. Looks like it was good.

I'm with the z4 coupe brigade on this one if we're talking as delivered from factory. Otherwise a 3 or 5 touring or a 6 sedan. Then lower, aftermarket rims, and other tidbits.
