Its not so difficult, most of the problems are people cant get their head around wiring and the programming. Most of it is just understanding the modules and the comms path. There is really good documentation BMW put out that explain the 'protocol' path. The trick I guess is to read between the lines and constantly consult and trust the diagrams. Test and re-test to prove the wire is what it is. Signal and voltage reading confirm 95% of this. While 'only' doing EWS2 on MSS50, once you read the electrical diagrams and understand them. Work arounds are not that hard. Brendon and I have started on website which details the s50 build and we will be going right down into the electrical details to help others.

Thats pretty mental haha, It took mine 3 people on the ground with the engine on a palette with lots of room and all the tools about 40 mins to align the clutch properly, tollerances were tight .. Nice one man its going to be allllll worth it.

thanks dude PS looks great ! hopefully aligning the gearbox and clutch is too much of a major in the tunnel like that. due to tollerances I dropped my subframe and engine out as well from the bottom and aligned it on a pallete.

spec... take it youre going to start with a base for the bumper and modify from there ? I have quite a good DVD on a porsche build which that contructed the whole front mold on the car out of foam. They then layer glass over it. Will PM you conrads bumpers hes just done. not cheap though

Looks great! .. You probably find it sounds a little like a e30 m3 with that setup. Lots of noise up high? under load that is.. right, next is extractors, exhaust, cams, remap, lighten flywheel and heavier clutch then stroker kit, high comp pistons, knife edge the crank, valves and carbon airbox with MAF delete and probably need a new ECU to handle it all. it wants to sound like an angry beeee!!!

Now that I can open my mouth. Im glad you got the runners too They're brand new and cost me just under 1k so you save yourself there. The rubber boots only cost about $80 but if your going to be running MAP then at least you dont need the MAF too. Very interested to see how it runs in comparison to standard!

First off, having a full functional ODBII port in the e30 has maximum novelty factor and its not wearing off! Was mucking around tonight checking the live data and decided to give the car a scan to see what had popped up over the past month and a bit. error 42 translated means speed signal was interupted at some point. error 48 translated means the Air-con relays aren't responding, thats cause there are none I also reset the service interval Faults cleared and only the air conditioning relay fault (which the car doesnt have) so im happy with that) I will continue testing to see if the other error comes back. Its not a major however is just the speed sensor.

Aint that the truth, I walked into cardwells today and had to leave the wallet in the car. I stupidly picked up a Sparco catalogue and costed up my next purchase
