  4. If it turns out to be this then here's some info. Photo of the heater exchange valve here (- the blue hoses ) The top rivets on the top pipe are what fails ... you need to replace the whole thing if it pops as the plastic turns to s***. Remove the glove box and right hand kick panel to access it.

    Yeah Umnitza has gone down hill unfortunitly .. their shipping charges are rubbish. I've always has great service / product for the e46 from http://www.jlevistreetwerks.com/ .. few of the reps operate on the e46 fanatics and are awesome to just talk to about what your trying to do. EG when changed my DDE angles for true white LED 87's Was told they fit right under my existing p46 headlight inserts and they sure did pure white LED day time running light ftw

    Replacement LED angle eye bulbs for the e39. Ask Ray Hell BMW where he got his .. they look great and have good colour (white / bluish hue)

  10. Best of both worls ... get the parrot BMW integration kit. No ugly modules, Works 100% with ibus controls (steering etc etc) works over factory sound system, supports all phones and BT 2.0 upwards (BMW system doesnt) annnd its not 1200+ dollars for an obsolete module.

    ??? .. 1 series guys ... Have you ever sat in a 120i vs a 135 ? the 135 (newer design) is now the new 3 series. The new 3 is the new 5. youre all looking in the wrong place.
  13. The CSL sound you are refereing to is engine noise and for the most part doesnt originate from the exhaust. It is possible to convert your e46 to a MAP based system and run MAFless carbon airbox. The signature m3 '6' sound is actually from the equal length headers and a 'trait' of the thin wall stainless design. Its is sculped buy runner lenth and placement of the center box muffler if most cases. Also you muffler restriction (or lack of) design. Weather your muffler is a pass through type or stepped inlet/oulet design. A pass through will allow more of the raspy sound threw where as a stepped type will accumulate more rubble or drone (bass). BMW tune this also with equalising tubes or x-pipes. Its a fine balance between performance and sound and both!.

  18. That would confuse it with the real for sale section. The reason why was about 2-3 years a go we had so many posts about other peoples trade me auctions we created its own section as they really were littering the rest of the board, including diluting the real For Sale section. It was named this to kick it off properly, It probably should include others like sella etc etc so the newbies on the site dont start the horrible habit of posting in other catagories again.

  20. hahah yeah .. Im just getting some edging to try and totally seal it. Will need to fabricate a 3 inch mandrel bend tube with flared ends (well fabricate the length and flared ends that is) as an extension from the MAF to the box. Ollie stated I should just cut a little bit into the OEM plenium boot which ill most likely do. Going to have a date with the autosol I think ... mmmm stainless mandrel. and yeah, couldnt be happier the way the pipes turned out. Got some other ideas on the boil too with the fabricator around customising the sump with winglets / baffles. I will however get it all road worthy and try and get some experience up driving the thing. You push the throttle too far and your sideways, not cool in the wet I might add.

Got the car back tonight from the welders tonight. * Permantly mounted brackets for expansion tank and ODBII * Flanged removible center muffler with straight pipe insert * Ireland Engineering Front and rear sway bars with adjustible links * Drive shaft loops * Custom battery mount for supporting smaller lighter batteries in the boot. High flow center muffler thats quitened it down a nice amount for the road. But still has its bite, just legal Straight pipe option I can bolt in for track days. Rear re-inforced swaybar blocks drill through to the boot Front sway bars connected to the control arms De-loomed washer tank and sensors, mounted expansion tank and ODBII connector neatly tucked in the corner. I have a replacement clutch reservoir and arm, just need to install it AN Oil lines to cooler.
  23. haha .. I had the same delimar. I drove the m325 around for a bit and fell in love with it first. Made it hard (even though I had all the parts) to get on with just swapping it. I reckon however while the m20 is a great engine youll get sick of the lack of power and want something a bit more full on. However, nothing beats sinking decent $$$ into the handling and braking department.
