  1. Mate I dont think its a shove it approach. Would be nice if you could stop tirading around the site spreading BS. I understand you are the type to create a bee in your bonnet about thing when there is no problem but it really has to stop. Its not healthy aye and just makes you angry for no reason. James and myself both work in IT. a little known fact for people outside of IT is that winter time in IT is silly season. Me personally I have just finished doing 2 months straight of 90 hour weeks. James is the same. We barely have time and do what we can when we get moments. Ollie is off running a business but has commited to getting the store up and running. The new software now enables a much better shopping cart and logicistic experience which is cool. Right with that out of the way, We have a couple of options for skins for the new site. We have been looking at a darker translucent theme and lighter 'work friendly' skin as well. We just need to combine it so we get some common consistancy across the look and feel.
  2. have changed you over to BM World .. I need to probably rebuild the sponsors mask as its never been right for some reason. Also you can delete your inbox but clicking on the select box with select rows based on type ... this will show another floating options thing which will allow you delete your selection.
  3. It's not yours or my choice. It's not supported and won't be in the future. It's now obsolete by default.
  4. Next owner don't f**k it up pls.
  5. 3rd party software is no longer compatible with the new forum software. IPS now supports several form factors so the requirement is now obsolete.

    MissBM V.2

looking pretty badass ... nice one
  7. It would of mattered not. The way the software is designed can't be changed and unfortunately means one of us with the ability to change it needs to spend a lot of time bringing it back to something similar to before. (Me) Between work and family my time is very limited so it will get done when I can do it. In the mean time probably stop worrying g about how the site looks and concentrate on the content.
  8. When I can be assed (and get actual time which is more the issue these days for me) ill take a good look at the theme ... This one is the out of the box default and some colour adjustments... you should of seen it before The new system is quite different than before. Its all pre-defined CSS and tags which is referenced in the database and not a static file. So its not going to be so straight forward. Anyways, have been thinking about a 'work' theme (probably this) and a darker theme like before for people who arent fussed about browsing at work.
  9. stuff that will need tweaking ... I need to restore the 'whos online' panels etc etc Also not 100% on the colors but theyre growing on me. I need to sort out the header too ... the site looks too 2005 the way it is.
  10. Did some work on Saturday up at Rays workshop and replaced the OEM diff hanger bush with a set Ive had tucked away fro 6 years or so from AKG Motorsport. Its nice to have lateral rear handling dialled back in again. I thought having a solid poly bush would make things a bit harsh, but it really didnt. I will however keep an eye on the rear hanger and make sure its not going to suffer. z3m Mcoupe 3.15 Diff out. Also took time to replace the half shaft bolts with new torx head ones I had tucked away instead of the annoying cap screws that were on it. New Solid mount 75d poly one being installed.
  11. Wow .. see from a customer perspective that sounds even more messed up. Same company, different cultures. Ok I understand the company had a 'those guys down the road' thing going on... got it.
  12. We are going to have to agree to disagree. Wasnt my experience sorry with your goldfields workshop i'm sorry. Keith and the workshop guys all walked after the change. The parts department after Gary as well. Sorry dude, im sure there are some good people still there but as a long term customer it simple was true. It can kind of be quite different on the other side of the fence.
  13. Went to them as a full paying customer for years, spent a lot of money with them over that time .. after going back 4 times and paying for their mis-diagnosis of the 4 separate issues I gave up. Not really a beat up when I decided to learn about this stuff myself and easily found the causes of my problems and fixed them myself. I knew the managers well there and had very good relationships with them and the staff. When they all left I stayed on as a customer but left because of the issues the new crew and substandard level of workshop service. I dont really have an issue with voicing my concerns for repeated mistakes. As I said earlier, it was 5 years a go and im sure things have changed. Maybe not either. I know the prices havent. As I said, I know where the good people are for these less plastic engines and they're not at the dealerships. Indy mechanics are where everyone is ... because they're enthusiast themselves not just another spanner swinger.
  14. Welcome to paying for dealership branding and showrooms. A lot of us just DIY this sort of stuff or get the trusted regulars to do the work. the e46 m3 is an old car, the true first gen trained mechanics have left the dealerships a long time a go. Jerry Clayton is now owned by Sime Darby .. when this happened everyone walked out the door who was a true BMW mechanic. From memory only two of the older guys stayed on but where quite jaded when dealing with them ... they were there to guide the young mix brand mechanics ... this is when things started to slip. I havent gone back in 5 years so things may have changed .. but I would say for the newer cars, not the older vehicles such as the M3. Indy specialist shops are where its at for this sort of work.
  15. All official 'e' models here including prototypes http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/48869-bmw-model-designation-master-list-updated-14414/
  16. PM the details of the ECU including photos of the VIN sticker and VIN of what your looking to put it into.. it gets fairly critical with e36 on what year/month ECU you use if you want it to work with EWS.
  17. and Steve KBs effort ... it now has an s54b32 in it. This was with the M52b28 in it.
  18. Jamez has done a full m3 conversion to his powered by the m3 evo s50b32 motor. Weve tuned the DME it so its putting down around another 30 more hp at the wheels than stock. way more mid range torque too. Group-N hybrid tune. Raise the RPM to 8k, removed vmax, adjusted vanos, anti-shake (road car dampening removed) adjusted fueling and timing + tons of other stuff.
  19. All are programmable, just the method changes. EG earlier ECUs changing chips to UV erasable socket PSOP44 etc. The rest support true Flash RAM and are programmable over the ADS interface. MS42 and variants are a bitch, a lot of us have tried to find the EWS locations but its not an easy one. Its doable, just not in the public domain yet. Have had far more luck fully disassembling my MSS50 ecu, which is strange as its architecturally more complicated.
  20. It is a bit scary. People mock holden, but really theyre the last to keep true to true sports driving. blimmin GFC & hippies, killing it all. Although if GM developed a new LS motor which was based on modern tech, we probably wouldn't be in the position we are today. death of the big block in something you can buy as OEM. Merc ditched their version of the 6.2 which was popping out 500hp in NA form in favour of turbo. As much as boost is awesome, the true linear torque and sledge hammer of a NA v8 cant ever be beat.
  21. carnauba wax is the best protection for bare metal. Its not a permanent thing though so has to be reapplied every 3-4 months. Looks a million bucks though.
  22. Its a matter of taste. Theyre a hell of a car. Would much rather prefer one of these over an e30 m3 as theyre blimmin gutless and a bit boring to drive.
