Is this car running a BMW or Link DME? if you want to check your CPS, instead of getting down inside the engine, check it at the DME, you need to check the resistance on the loom side between pins, i think its pin 48 and 49 from memory, or look at a ETM for your car. If it even is that.

strongly recommend talking to your council first, at least get them to put it on file. That way, when you take the matter into your own hands and maybe you get a knock on the door from them, you can tell them you complained 6 months or whatever ago and its still not fixed.

Nothing wrong with a bank cheque, chances are if you are selling a car worth more than a k or two you will be going to the bank anyways so its no worse to receive. Not the first time i have posted this here, but I have accepted cash on a few occasions for my project BMWs, once the Police came after me and tried to take the cash back because it was apparently from a burglary, turns out they had the wrong guy. another time the guy didn't put the car in his own name, and baycorp (edit: ECL or something, like baycorp though) ended up coming after me. again, i didn't have to entertain them, but both headaches i could have done without, and much easier to prove innocence when you have an electronic transaction. Cash cannot be traced and there is no definitive record of when it changed hands

I have forgotten how it drives, she hasn't been started or seen the tarmac for about 4 or 5 months now, just gets rolled to shift the weight on the tyres every couple weeks or so. 2 and a half weeks till i move into my new place and she can come out of storage!! Maybe you should have looked after it for me

In E30s it runs off the brake booster in LHD, but has a separate reservoir if RHD, is this difference similar in an E34? only manual E34 i have had was an AWD iX and thats a different beast in itself.

I could do, but an E30 is an E30, its always worth the gamble if you can get your hands dirty as parts are so cheap. Just rust anywhere, and the touring specific parts that are the problem areas worth double checking. 400k on a body nothing to worry about, suspension and all of that will have been replaced at least twice, maybe 3 or 4 times. Paint will have seen better days though unless its been repainted. if you don't like the wheels, maybe he might like to keep them if you bring your own or something, have found that strategy hit and miss in the past.

Just had a brand new corolla for week, its a petrol, don't know if they have a diesel?? so thought id just do a quick little review in case your mom, wife or gf looking at buying one. What i liked: Bootspace - for a hatch back, was very surprised at the size, fitted two large cases and other gear etc in the back easily. Interior - Quality and design I was very impressed with, i know Corolla have gone a wee bit more upmarket because of the Yaris at one end, and the likes of Golf at the other, it has to slot in. Exterior design - definatley away from the conservative style they have been for many many years. Well built feel - doors thumped "like a BMW", feeling of safety OBC read out 6.4L/100km over the time i had it, i was driving pretty sedately most of the time except over the Crown Range What could be better, but expect in this car as I'm not the target market i guess Automatic gearbox - an auto is nice, but this seemed to act like a CVT more than an Auto. Steering - very light, no feedback Performance - lacked power on open road, overtook one vehicle didn't trust the car to do it again. What I didn't like Visibility - I'm 6'3", so on the tall side, but rear view mirror feels like its right in front of your face. Enormous B-Pillars and a tiny rear window also don't help, and even I couldn't see the bonnet of the car, so parking was a bit of a bitch. This alone made it feel unsafe and defiantly wouldn't buy. Person i was with is about 5'9" at a guess, and they didn't find it any better. No temperature gauge Car seemed very overweight for what it was hope this helps!

The wheels are kind of cool

Yes lots of americans doing all sorts of things with bottlecaps these days, recently saw a set that had been made to look like 3pc wheels, very cool. If you are going to keep them, would recommend a 10-15mm spacers maybe even 20mm front and back to bring the offset/wheel out. Stock bottle caps are et35 i think, 15" weaves are et25 or maybe et15, and genuine Hartge/AC Schnitzer/Alpinas are et15

Number plate is interesting, i thought it was midway through the Nx#### plates they changed from black to white

correct, different spline. many have tried and failed, because the E36 version is like 1/4 the price

seems strange, typically the crank sensors seem to just die or work, maybe the intermittence comes from a dodgy connection? also worth checking fuel pump relay, thats more likely to have an intermittent issue.

so the flow would increase by the same percentage as how much bigger the new injectors would be over the old ones? so in turn the only way to balance it out would be by either adding forced induction or remapping the car?

wow. I sold a genuine kit same colour but 4 door version for not much less than that, so should sell. Genuine becoming very rare these days to find
