So im not just dreaming. my bills seemed to be about 20% higher after it
-
yes, i figured that out the hard way once upon a time, car was back to dull within the month. cut and polish is fine, but you need to wax or put some kind of protector over the top once done

yes the boot lid is physically heavy too, the e30 convertibles use gas struts instead of torsion bars to open and close the boot, worked before when just one of them was working, but now its too heavy for just the one to support so replacing the strut thats blown, bits are on their way from Pelican. But the tech1 is definitely staying, i think its much much better. To me, E30s just have to have a rear spoiler, im yet to see an E30 i haven't thought needed one if it doesnt have one. but it does need a nice low mounted one because with the roof down you dont want to kill that flat line along the top of the doors out to the boot lid Yes the car is supposed to have the high stop brake light. i will do something about that before the next WOF and come up with a new solution. I just hate the stock high stop, its an afterthought and it shows. need a much more descrete version, i do have an idea for that, just need to get some bits and work it out how its going to work. Id like to tell you that i dont know if i will keep or pass it on, but i think everyone on this board and myself know i dont think i will be letting it go. you can't drive the lower mortgauge can you. Haha, I do have time to clean them really. Just cbf doing it if they are going to be filthy again after i drive on them for 100km (or less). will change the pads when i take the suspension apart and put some low dust ones in if they really exist, then i will clean the wheels ha. But awesome, i will use the product you say and post results!! Thanks bud will keep it in mind

Thanks for the kind words guys! yes have thought about doing them red but i have seen so many very terrible jobs (in my opinion). also need to do the E34 and the Hiace. What products do you both recommend? aint no body got time fo dat well maybe when i have three weeks off i will refurb them

are you using an iPhone? mine does that some times, turn off and back on seems to solve most of the time. gremlins.

So a wee bit of an update particularly for those that didnt see it at the Tui Brewery Run. Also a lot of discussion by the vert owners wanting to see what a tech1 looks like on an e30 vert, so here you go Finally my ETHRTY personalised plates are back on an E30 ha. Repainted and put on new boot lid, used to be on Flakes black E30. In the process Deleted high-stop brake light Deleted 325i model number Added Tech1 wing on the back. Havent got around to lowering the car yet, also have a few other goodies for it to go on at some stage. I move house in about 5 weeks, so will all happen after that Edit: thoughts on the 325i badge delete? im thinking about putting it back on, what do you guys think?
-
who are you doing it through? havent tracked a 325i before, now i have one im thinking about it just for the sake of comparing it to the other car
-
the fabric is NLA for 10 years or so now if i remember right
-
AFAIK they are just a trades orientated version of Repco, that doesnt sell all the bullshit like cigarette adaptors and floor mats
-
pretty simple mate all you need is a socket or flat blade whatever type your hose clamps need. undo both ends (might be a bit of a pain finding the correct hose) and put new one in. air in the lines isnt an issue, it will be pushed out when you start the car, car might just take longer to start than usual and/or cough and fart for first 30 seconds of running.

On an E46 your bigger problems are the plastic cooling connectors. if they are the original 10 year old ones, worth changing. Last E46 i worked on didnt have overheating issues but the person wanted the cooling bits swapped, as i was taking it apart the plastic literally crumbled in my hands. not good
-
I have a Hiace for that. but you travel a hell of a lot more than me, a late model car makes more sense. for me it would just sit in the shed or the driveway depreciating. actually i dont have enough time to drive one of my BMWs let alone all three of them haha but at least they wont be going down in value anymore

235i still looks like a typo doesnt it.
-
dead right
-
you are welcome to bring it to my place in a few months time if you want. shifting house soon, but should have the shed pretty organised mid december if you dont find a helper before then.
-
was considering S50 in my touring, but went different way so i think you should do it
-
happy birthday mate! I had a cake like that on my 21st!
-
pretty sure i saw Pauls 120d in Wingate about midday today
-
hmm, guessing you checked all fuses etc as a place to start?
-
when you say they heater doesnt work, do you mean the fan? or are you not getting temp?
-
i could do it
-
its only sold with the boot typically i assume you need one because you have brought an aftermarket boot? you will need to use the old ring.

i use a brush too, sponge isn't effective enough. for the body that is My AC Schnitzers on my wagon are easy to clean. But i cant be bothered cleaning my bottle caps. they are stunning when they are done of course. But i wash the car on a Friday before the weekend I plan to use it, by Sunday arvo, filthy again. just give the faces a quick scrub but not in between the spokes. Another reason I would never by any BBS wheels, especially RS
