All sorted a tiny bit over budget but thats okay WOF tomorrow, and a pink sticker one too, wish me luck haha

correct, need to tap into the head and install a separate sensor. unless your name is Josh (Hybrid) probably not easily doable. Timing cover has same coolant connections in my experience only metal on a non vanos M50 and plastic on the rest. need M50E34 sump dipstick tube and dipstick, and also the mounting hardware. if its off a very late E34 then it may have a bracket on the dipstick for some of the emissions gear, dont worry about that

$23US plus shipping from Pelican, i ordered a whole bunch of kit though. if its just those you need, may be worth shopping locally, Milland or EuroItalian (latter is a forum sponser last i checked)

bump! would like tomorrow so i can take car for WOF wednesday
-
could be the white/crome clashing? may suit a white car better not sure but im legit colour blind so i shouldnt really be commenting on that lol
-
you talking about the alpina one someone posted up? yeah but its a 535i not 525i. if it was, this is really not a bad idea at all. dont think it had the alpine rear kit though just front and sides.

what bell housing do you have on there now the auto M70 one? ill put my hand up and say im potentially interested in a toyota conversion setup if you do go down that route. i just dont have the knowhow/space/tools to develop something like that, but wouldn't mind acquiring a ready to go option. i cant see any reason it would be different just because mine is in a different shell right?

dont know how i missed this thread! a good example definitely! i had a E34 525i daily same colour same engine etc only difference was the wheels. amazing to drive standard so floaty. My wagon i have now about 2.5" maybe 3" drop in the front, the gaurd only just above the wheel, but don't have to spider over speed bumps etc just go straight over. actually only place the car has ever hit the ground is reversing into my driveway, the front kit JUST kisses the ground. coilovers very very stiff though. your shimmy almost certain to be the front thrust arm bushings. replace with M5/750iL ones if your going through the trouble anyway, will make steering a wee bit heavier but everything is a tradeoff. e: you might like to get the euro/NZ new front numberplate holder instead of your current jap one, looks a bit different

that E23 pickup obviously not a BMW made car, but is the E23 touring a real car or is that some coachbuilder thats done a conversion? looks quite good for the time -

values aside, if i had to chose any one of those tomorrow, definitely the E38. The F01 is nice too. the other ones no thanks. what about the E23? -

i find the same in my E34, but i guess the stock seats aren't designed for you to be wearing helmet -
you wait till he says its going in his Mini
-
i may be wrong, but I'm 99% sure its the same as the more common E30 M20. may be worth checking your part numbers so some cowboy doesnt have you on.
-
facepalm ebay best bet for sure
-
now your talking ill put my hand up to help where i can
-
thats exactly what it is

sounds like blocked radiator to me too. but when you say its cold, is that a large difference compared to the top hose, or just a little bit cooler? can be hard to diagnose on a forum some times
-
is a porsche wrecker up the line from me, was quite competitive. i used a Porsche 944 Booster. but if i did it again i would import an E30 iX one i think or see if the factory E34 V8 one would work. would be easier than slotting the firewall and moving the E30 one across edit: troy bet me to it

surely one of your cars has a towbar, that solves two problems.

what happens if you have 3 times too many cylinders are you still invited? Id be keen though if there is a bimmersport stand going. there are plenty of quality cars here, would be good to get a selection of cars, ideally all with BMW engines, promote the brand. i got over skylines and WRXs about 5 years ago. scary that its only 8 months away though isnt it. cant believe its May today
