Hey Guys, looking at a Hiace to replace my Econovan (if anyone wants an econovan let me know). It is not the latest shape but the one before it that you still see hundreds of them around, late 1990s etc. What are the key issues with this model? any particular spots to look for rust etc? is a 2.4L Petrol Manual LWB im looking at at the moment , but information on all of the engines/lengths would be good. Thanks team.

holden have been great value for money for a long time. The VZ had a few build quality issues, but Ford did no better with their BA. The VE is a fantastic looking car even though its what seven years old now? not a fan of the VF so much as the VE. Never been a Jag fan, no matter how much you make it look sporty, its still a Jag, and the buyers wont use it.

i do like that painted trim, dont think ill have that in mine though. but i had the reddy wood in my E34, not sure what wood its supposed to be, grain looks like walnut but a bit redder than that would usually be.

sorry just saw this yes plenty. usually you get a pink sticker for coils but no cert, it is a green sticker if you have cert but incorrect height, unless excessively out/low. but that said my front is outside tolerance currently, but no troubles. it has a cert and not excessively low. its about the rideheight an M5 would be. i didnt have time to find a good setup before going for cert, so all the playing around to get to the setup i have now i did after cert and just so happens its slighlty lower than the plate says. 5%. and that allowance is for what you saying if it is fully loaded or not uneven ground etc. It shouldnt be interpreted as lower it 5% past cert and then put a full tank of gas in/people etc which is what some people try and justify on the side of the road and do not get a favourable result.

that exhaust is super cool, but i was surprised you got a WOF with it out this side like that, I'm sure the rules were it had to exit behind the rearmost point of the cabin?? might have changed tho, i was going to do a side exit on my Tech2 E30 back in the day but i was told buy the guy i was going to get to cert the car that I couldn't. or now i think of it maybe that was because it was a sedan yep later tank is a bit different to the earlier one, not sure if cross compatible, but hey if you can put E46 suspension in it you can make it work how big is the current tank? you could shorten one side of it? mid exit exhaust might look cool?

i believe the M50s are pretty much the same between them, just software differences. its the S motors that go all strange. you may find the chip when sold to US may just be a euro BMW chip? certainly needs more research anyhow

nope no fines for me but i know plenty of people that have. have ended up paying more in fines on one night than the cost to get it certed in the first place.

He has run out of the Blue ferns because noone really buys those, so everyone who ordered those its all your fault but he tells me they are sitting in his factory all ready to send out except the blue ones, so will be sent his tuesday afternoon, so a bit later than original plan of being sent his friday afternoon last week. I think they will still be overseas when queens birthday hits so that won't cause delays, i would expect to see them on Wednesday next week, so you will see them Friday next week, or maybe the following Monday. Sorry for the delay on these, i forgot to warn Chris i had an order coming for him like i usually do.

not that i like the E46 wagon, looks like a total afterthought in my opinion rear end all wrong, but still want to see more pics of that M3 version!! -
I'm not a fan of that camber and skinny look as a rule on me own car but that aside, I can't fault my XYZ coilovers. Your e36 wont accept a traditional coilover setup in the back, are you going to run the 2pc setup or modify the shock mounts to take the weight? At $2k guessing it's the 2pc setup huh? When you go for cert make sure it's at the height you will want long term and with the wheels you want or it's a $500 change of mind (+fines to convince you to spend that if applicable lol)

Oh my Volvo was like that. Totally different setup to E34 then, thought it might be similar.

Nt done it in an e30 mate but in mine there is a bolt each side if you take the side bolsters out, and then the center bit is a hook that slides back with a bit of muscle, hope this helps!

Very likely to be going to Auckland this weekend, can deliver it there or anywhere along the way providing not too much of a detour. Just cover cost of trailer hire.
