  1. noone is getting personal to you... e: oh wait, i see it now, assuming you talking about Karls post.. but im sure it was written a different wayto how he meant it
  2. Whats the model number? how old? I may have something at work, it may/is probably cross compatible with other LG models. Edit: Dodgy ribbon cables not uncommon on the LG models. also check caps arent domed etc.
  3. Where does it say its a third most expensive? It does sounds surprising. (Not calling you out, interested in reading)
  4. yep some better pics would be good. and budget for new headlights for sure... but probably okay car. id be opting for a facelift personally
  5. Spot on. Prices in housing almost never come down. but for the non believers, the way i look at it, even if the value of the house you own does come down, so what. the real difference is it only comes down by a percentage of what you own. the bank takes the rest of the hit. after 10 years paying off a mortgauge, whether the overall house has come down in value, you still now have at least 100k or so more to play with now that you wouldnt have $10 of if you were renting. The prices will come down just stay renting and wait arguement is lost on me Also there is a crowd backed by the govt called Welcome Home Loans. I dont have one, but i do recommend them as a place to start for those looking to buy thier first home. my not offer enough to buy in the CBD of auckland, but should be out further south i expect. Remember you also have your Kiwisaver if you have that
  6. i do that on a lot of my auctions too. i think its more than fair enough
  7. Not really, i was 19.5 years old when i brought my first place. Worked hard for every dollar of the deposit and damn proud of it. Remember too, at todays rates you only need around 60-80k to "own" a 900k house.
  8. Sounds good guys, Matt you look like the best bet just waiting on the guys cellphone number then i will be in touch with you thanks a lot mate
  9. if your insurance is like mine, anything short of a write-off isn't worth claiming

    E30 parts

at least you can get a pie now
  12. its a bit of a crap design really. what i did on my twincam project back in the day, you should see how its straight and then it sort of pinches together at the end right? i just took a hack saw to the end of it and got rid of that pinched/tapered bit, and never had the problem again. from memory, rotate it 90 degrees one way or the other and it will pull out. but been about 4 years since i did it now
  13. also the little "elephant trunk" on the firewall just below battery box often gets clogged up
  14. Need some tyres collected from an address in Kingsland and taken to Hans at the Chemcouriers depot early Tuesday or Thursday evening. Think the guy is being a bit unreasonable demanding pick up only after saying it could be arranged, but so be it. just need to hook them out of there! Andy
  15. wait, a 4dr M3? did not know they existed
  16. 1" long 13mm socket with some tape around it to space it a bit. done. also some of the more expencive clutch kits some times have them come with it. dont forget spigot bearing as well
  17. my E36 318iS was the spec you speak of too, except was auto.
  18. I might be reading it wrong, but if the courier delivered a parcel that didnt have a signature request on it, why are they in the wrong? Very common practise for the parcels that dont require a signature to be delievered in the early hours for that exact reason. Shouldnt it be MYOB you are chasing for cheaping out and not sending it signature? Or maybe I'm reading you wrong.
  19. Could pull the battery and get it checked at your closest repco/supcheaps, if been sitting for a while may have toasted one. Also check earth strap between engine and chassis. Would be my starting points.
  20. Yup all looks pretty okay under there def need new control arm bushings tho. No leaks which is good. Gave it a reall good clean and vacuum out, apart from the peeling paint which the hose took most of the loose bits off seems to be a good car underneath. You wont recognise it when you see it lol
