  1. Okay so got an odd one for you guys, sort of a double barrelled question. 1/ If you buy a car that doesnt have current rego, and change it into your name and instantly put it on hold, who is responsible for that rego that is outstanding on the car before the date that it went into your name? 2/ Also if the Rego expired over a year ago, i believe the car automatically becomes deregistered is this correct? if so, what happens with the outstanding rego, and also how would one acquire legal ownership of the car, as there is no correct numberplate for the car any more. Thanks team!
  2. should just throw an M3 badge on the back

  5. can i put 516d badging on the back of my E34?
  6. Final call, if anyone else wants to get in on this its not too late yet, order will be sent first thing tomorrow morning. Also pretty sure everyones paid already but if anyones still outstanding, needs to be put through this afternoon. Cheers
  7. what if your building a replica and is powered by the same motor and looks identical to the real thing. then what.
  8. balling on a budget with an M325i Wagon? i want to be a student again lol
  9. yes lighter is better, but there is a critical mass that a flywheel must be at least that weight overtherwise it wont run. otherwise youd just have a 200gram titanium plate or whatever and call it a day. eg a V12 or V8 manual can run a much lighter flywheel than a 4 cylinder because its crank getting power delivered to it twice or three times as often. the flywheel mainly serves as a device to smooth out operation of the engine and store energy, the fact that its a convenient place to bolt the clutch plays second fiddle I think i know what im talking about, could be wrong
  10. +1, my one in the E30 is still fine and never overheats, but isn't as new anymore. plus I need to free up them horsepowers
  11. updated. not too late to get in on this over the weekend if anyone else is uhmming and arring. this is the last order before xmas etc
  12. like the red one especially, but both cool!
  13. clearance looks pretty tight there, even tighter than my E34. i hope your engine mounts are good condition!
  14. M20 fly wheel might not have enough weight to keep a 4cylinder going? that one might be a M20B27 flywheel tho? is there a part number on it at all?
  15. thats standard Schnitzer/alpina/hartge etc size, wont rub unless your trying to fit the wrong size tyres on, whether your car is slammed or not
  16. took the whole valve cover off and the shield plate thing off a few weekends back, cleaned up the oiler bar. bit of wear on the first first cam lobe and also either the 5th or 6th one, apart from that it looked good in there, especially for 245,000kms now. quietened down a lot after cleaning the oiler bar, but semms to be about as clakety as its always been again.
  17. +1. although someone that doesnt know the E30 market might pay that. can get a touring/convertable/motorsport for 6k these days.
  18. changing the clutch in an E30 is a relatively simple task to do over a weekend if your up to it, its not as daunting as it sounds! a basic socket set, a jack and a couple jack stands, a few inverse torx sockets and a torque wrench are all you need. One of my first project ever on my E30 was doing a manual conversion, and that was on the back of very basic offroader/4x4 mechanics.
