  1. So you must not have paid for the iPad then I have one. pretty much never use it.
  2. I pretty much always go to Shell/Z because its more NZ owned than any of the other ones, and have always had good customer service at pretty much every station. Even better now they have rebranded as Z. Converted the company i work for to them too. I use 91 in the E30s and 95 in the E34s, much better economy in the latter when using 95 over 91 so the increased cost is more than offset by the milage. Ive had a boycott against BP since they didnt take responsibility for scratching up my Sentra in thier carwash back before i got into BMWs. Yes its was a $500 car, but thats not the point. Aparently they sub contract the car washes out and I went to see the guy that aparently owns the carwash machine thing and he wasnt having a bar of it. And i HATE mobil, all of them ive been to down here are prepay even in the middle of the day. I can understand at night time, but during the day is a pain in the ass when you want to fill up. Queue up at counter, pay $150, fill up car, queue up again to get your refund, wait for them to get thier manager to figure out how to print a GST recipet of the amount i actually brought.........
  3. After 6 years in this game and 14 to date, i like to think i know a thing or three about them
  4. drive the E30 350km, fitted newley painted bits thanks to John (Bellicose), drove 350km home. 8.2L/100km average, not bad for a 24 year old car with 240k on the clock and a trailer in tow!
  5. Hmm possibly the first set of M3 seats ive heard of for sale in NZ Looks like the only options missing is the maplight mirror and the headlight wipers! Looks too good to part out, must be the engine that was f**ked? Seems a real waste to be parting that out though, based on your prices, youd get more as is, cooked engine or whatever taken into account. I dont know the full story though.... ..I must remember im into E34s now...
  6. Out of interest Glenn, does this apply to all BMWs?
  7. the difference is that the muppets then take the bits and thier own car along to a shop and pay someone else to install them because in my experience they are too rookie to know how to do it themselves, thereby relieving them of even more funds that could be paying off the fines The thing that annoys me about this is its not the car, its the driver. I have a mate that has a WRX that is all modified with the wheels and exhaust etc that has never had a demerit in his life. I cant quite say the same with my cars, but still, reletively, i have hardly any. A bog standard 1983 Corolla has just as much chance as being crushed as a GTR. Laurels are not my thing and couldnt care less if its that that gets crushed, but had it been a 328i Manual and i would have something different to say Is it the gun that kills people, or do people kill people?
  8. Video is now on stuff for those that want to watch it! on my ipad so cant link sorry.
  9. That was my thoughts too. defeats the purpose doesnt it.
  10. do you live in wellington area btw? i think i might know your son. i cant imagine there are too many 518i rolling around
  11. in case you are having trouble finding 518i bits, they should be the same as all non-M5 E34s. so 520i 535i 530i 535i 540i
  12. They are pretty sort after, and if genuine and good condition can get more over seas than in nz uf you can be bothered to do that. A lot rarer than bbs rims, let alone bbs reps every second fanboy has.
  13. fyi, the belt also follows this route Visit My Website
  14. Lol was on my watchlist too, i just wanted the rims though lolol

    Smokers

That slicer you have is the same model as the one i used to use when i was a deliboy at New World, that machine you have is built to last!
  16. Front looks okay, but to match it looks like the back would need 10" wheels with a pair of hoosiers. 19s or 18s would have been perfect Ray.
  17. Personally, if i had that kind of coin, id be buying a genuine Porsche 356 Convertable. My dream car right there. This being the most desirable BMW is probably arguable. Id prefer a 2002tii turbo I read that too, not sure if same magazine though
