No Offense - but if you wanted to go racing bad enough, you would put up with busing/biking for as long as it needed. I think it was Possum who said if your not working 2 - 3 jobs you don't want it bad enough... Hunters Plaza Christmas Temp - Casual Contact Centre Customer Support - Smith and Smith P/T-General Retail Helper-Warehouse Person - Tradezone Student IT Assistance - Abuzzy Motorhomes Kitchen Attendant ( i worked from 6pm - 2am friday and saturday nights to afford a national sporting trip - missed a lot of school parties for that trip...) Casual Service Centre Representative - Datam Ltd Part Time Data Entry Clerk - Datam Ltd Hit the recruitment firms as they will deal with a lot of temp companies for x-mass time, hit up the fruit/vegie grows they always need pickers/sorters/packagers (i sorted and packed Courgette for 2 summers...) Hit up Student Job Search... http://www.sjs.co.nz/Default.aspx What needs to be done to make it road legal? Make a list and people here might be able to help you... Weather it's telling you how to fix it or coming over and spending a afternoon fixing stuff with you. There is a E30 down at pick a part right now that you could use to get some parts from should you need parts. Sell a Seat and Harness - you don't need a co-driver for track work or clubman events. PS: Building cars is never easy - the 205 was off the road for most of this year because of it needing work... I've spent a stupid amount just fixing crap - it's also going to be off the road the whole summer because the shifter is broken, and it needs all new suspension... Sometimes you just need to put it under a cover for a month or two before your motivation comes back... Many a time over the last 2 years i've wanted to melt my car down and turn it into a Bird Bath... I've had the same thing... Earlier this year thought i was going to get a 800 - 900 bill for my rear brakes - it quickly turned into a 3 grand bill.

As JiB posted this back, as a extra note to what ^^^ was about as people are lazy. The police used his posts on the civic forum he was on against him as evidence in court. "Mrs. Linda Vance, prosecuting, told the court that Olley, using the nickname “Ten Pence Shortâ€, had used an Internet website for Honda Civic drivers to arrange a meet in a Penrith supermarket car park. From there, she said, he led them up the A686 to Hartside a road he described on the website as “a good little route for cars like oursâ€. He suggested that “the best games†involved “finding a guy in a superior car and watching him trying to keep upâ€, she said."

I was think about arranging the auckland member that are doing this, to talk to Mega Mitre 10 and book the sausage sizzle stand and a few carparks next to the stand and park up a couple of the racecar/rare bmw's and fund raise there....

We after looking at the shocks they are completely dead, i'm going to assume that they have been like that the whole time... You can compress them by hand and they do not recoil a mm. Managed to borrow a set of 306 rear shocks (higher dampening rates vs the 205's) and man it transformed the car! So the torsion bars are getting finished this week and then it's on to saving for the rest of the suspension which should be March, new rear billies, rebuild the fronts, and new springs. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the race on sunday: Theme for the day: F!@K! Practice run = good nice and safe Run 1 = Just started to rain - roughly 2 seconds quicker than the practice Run 2 = Couldn't get third get at all, lots of swearing - I think MLM is now partly deaf. Run 3 = After tightening the sh*t out of the shifter bushes and stripping the thread on the nut for the gearstick, SPUN THE F!@KING CAR on the first hairpin... I'm blaming the guy that was dropping oil. rained all day... Bonus tho... the lip survived Ended up second in class = grrr i know i was faster than what i did in run 1. Was less than a second slower in run 2 without getting third properly twice - we ran the hill in 5th for 1/3 - 1/2 the run.... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Unofficial but looks like i finished 8th out of 31 in the series, and 1st in class... not tooo shabby with a broken car... I know i can go faster so i'm looking forward to next years series...

I'd say work in a hotel over McD's - become a bellhop/concierge typically better pay than McD's and tips... Working in a Central City hotel ROCKS when your going out on the town... You know all the out of order rooms and early checkouts so you can go an crash in those rooms when your way to drunk to drive home, or want a quickie with the cutie you just pulled at the bar/club...

I've been on two where people have been very very lucky to not been killed/very seriously injured. A lot of people on here where also at one that someone was killed, they probably don't remember.

nope not manufactured at all... he's named and shamed in a local newspaper article and one of the bikes that stopped and provided first aid to the biker that hit the car comes on later in the thread and comments on a few things.

when your friend does get the car, make sure it has everything listed in the ad and is in the same condition as listed.
