Nice one man!!! I love E36s wagons. I always wanted to have one as my daily. Congrats on a purchase!!!
  2. I am not sure if anyone here had any experience with FK Silverline X coilovers. I have gone that route on my E36 M3 Euro. I can not comment on them as of yet, since I am replacing the entire suspension on my car (Takes me for ever as I am doing it with random tools in my parents garage). I mean I am replacing everything, every single bush to every single arm, so it takes ages... Anyway... These coilovers are dampening and height adjustable with stainless steal bodies (no worries about rust at all ) and Koni inserts and custom springs. I know you can set them higher and much lower than OEM set up... And they are just slightly firmer than OEM on soft setting. The kit is developed on Nurburgring and assembled in Germany. It has lifetime warranty. Very very well built kit, I can confirm! A lot of people in US are running them on their street/track E46 M3s and love them more than KWs and other set ups. Their inserts are not shortened, so they are much comfier and last much longer on normal roads. Taking into account roads in Christchurch at the moment, that was one of the most important qualities for me. I have ordered a kit from ECStuning guys in US. They are amazing to deal with, very fast response and very quick shipment. Here is a link: Link I know these might not be the most recognised kit in the World, but could be one suitable for you.

    E46 Bits

    Do you still have carpets?
  4. I like the pre-facelift ones as I think they make E36 look slightly tougher, but I could be biased as I have an earlier version of E36...
  5. Automatic Payments are not the same as Direct Debits. The difference between the two is to do with the way transaction is processed. Automatic Payments are processed by your own bank, when Direct Debits are processed by the bank of the second party you are paying your money to. A lot of banks don't do Direct Debits anymore for that reason as they don't have power to stop them and it takes much longer for them to resolve any issues related to them, if such would arise. So you are much safer with setting up an automatic transaction to them. Let me know if you have any other questions, I will try to help as much as I can.
  6. In relation to extra fees, usually it depends on what is stated in your contract with that company. They must state all their extra fees there, e.g. default rates, monthly fees etc. Flick through it and if you won't find them there, you can definitely take them to court or politely discuss it with them. A good thing for you is that financial institutions are under a lot of pressure from legal institutions, which means if they f*** something up they will pay for it big time in court. Second, yes they can repossess your car after 4 weeks no-payment, but then again it should be stated in your contract (repossession conditions) you should have received a final notice letter that would give you 7 - 10 days to come up with the money. My advice is read your contract first, get all the background information and go and talk to them. I am not sure about big finance companies, but small ones like the one I am working for usually want to retain their customers and have them paying money back rather than repossess their items. I hope this helps and good luck!
  7. Has anyone here used them to tune their BMW computers? Any proven gains?
  8. Is there anyone in Christchurch or South Island, who tunes original BMW ECUs?

  11. I'll be running 225/45/17 on the front and 235/45/17 on the rear. What makes it hard for me to choose is that I had Symmetric Goodyear F1s for the last 2 years and totaly loved them, so there should be a good enough reason for me to swap to Bridgestone RE-02, which I've heard are awesome!!!
  12. Thats good to hear that Goodyear continues to make good tyres. I've heard new F1 Directional 5 are very good too. Can anyone confirm that?
  13. Hey Matt. Are you and your brother coming to a meet on the 30th? It would be nice to have you there guys...
