UPDATE: Got my Z3 rack this week, just need to sort out the power steering lines and what I'm going to do with the linkage - my headers run pretty close to the standard knuckle position.

Does anyone know of a taller engine mount that will work on a E30/M20 ? Im going to start working on something but need to raise the engine about 10-15mm, i could easily space it with washer or something but dont really want to go down that route unless i need to.

This happend to me when installing my Bilsteins, I just machined down a socket carefully and it worked a treat. Edit: Just saw your having problems with top hats, i ran through this problem last year. You've probably got E36 Top hats like John said above, All E30 factory top hats run the smaller holes so the only real way to use them is by grinding down a socket. E36's run both size top hats, I think it might be a 4 vs 6 cyl thing.

Thanks guys, i wanted to go for a more "factory look". Car rides well on the bilstein suspension. I agree with you John ill try and get the rear a little lower.
