    Gran Turismo 5

That cockpit look awesome. What sort of seat did you put in there?
  2. Novel thought, can they implode the reef to re-float the ship?

    RIP Steve Jobs

Can't believe it happened so quickly. RIP.
  4. Imagine pulling this into VTNZ/AA for a WOF.

3GS is now selling $599 at Apple store. Still not sub-500, but close enough for an Apple product. In that price point, there're Incredible S, Galaxy S both might be better phones on a spec sheet. But they hardly have the same appeal as an iPhone.

I am sure the Android OS are just as powerful and versatile if not more so than the iOS, but my initial experience on Android 1.6 have put me off using it any further. I had to go through a fair bit of trouble trying to get my contact to sync from a Mac. (Sync to Google through iTunes then sync to the phone). There has to be an easy way for Mac users, can someone tell me if this has improved on the latest 2.2/2.3 versions? Another problem I have with Android phones are they are all too "plastic-ie". None of them are made with some "proper" material as it is on iPhone like glass and bits of metal. The top-shelf Android all look good, being slim and all but it doesn't feel as good when you hold them in your hand compare to an iPhone. Until the Android camp sort these two out, I am sticking with my iPhone.

Agree. 4 -> 4S, not worth it but 3GS -> 4S, yes. A bit disappointed about not updating to a larger screen. I guess they want to preserve battery life given it's already bad enough.
  8. Wait a month or so after repaint so the paint cure properly. Otherwise you might rip the paint off if you need to remove the paint protection film for any reason.

    Really ?

This is why many exotic cars are only available in LHD.

    Oil Grade

You might want to look for something that meets BMW LL01 for your car. It's hard to find anything in retail that meets it even if the grade is correct. The only thing I can find is Shell Helix Ultra (silver bottle with Ferrari logo on it), in Repco and SuperCheap.

    Really ?

Pretty sure the shift pattern stays the same. The driver just sit on the wrong side of the car, driving on the wrong side of the road.
  12. Didn't you said you want to touch up the Corolla couple of weeks back or am I imagining things?
  13. That is a big savings. With the difference, you can use it towards repainting the Corolla.
  14. That's a few years ago, the guy even have spotter plane as lookouts. Well done him.
  15. I am not sure, maybe disconnect the battery for 10-15 minutes to force reset the thing?
  16. Even if you go outside for servicing, you can still fit genuine parts. You'll have to BYO or tell the place you want genuine parts at least couple of days before your appointment so they can have them ready. Most external places don't stock genuine parts. The main benefits of dealer servicing is when it comes warranty claims time, they would have all the details they need and if you stick with the factory's service schedule, you'll have no problem getting things fixed. Borrowing (or hiring?) a late model loan car and getting dropped off at work is another plus. Coffee at dealerships are average at best, so this doesn't count. This I concur Unless it's Bosch branded wipers, which is what the genuine BMW stuff is. With wipers, I usually replace the rubber at 6 month, then the full blade at 12 month.
  17. No Mac native version, not sure how well it will run on Parallel Desktop?
  18. Look so good, I would mount them on the wall as art.
  19. The Germans are going for a family face. Look what VW, Audi and Merc did to their line of cars. Within the brand, all cars look similar from the front. Give them an excuse to slot a smaller car in from the bottom in a few years time. That's how 1-series was born.
  20. The factory look so much more modern than the e46 production video I saw few years ago. Different factory of course, this is progress.
  21. Most of shopping mall carwash place have no idea what they are doing. Same applies for many of the mobile washes.
  22. Where did you get your cut polish done? If done properly, it shouldn't happen.
  23. Probably organise the bulk freight from Auckland see if the freight guys will pickup for you from the seller. Fail that, then get a local Wellington courier service to pick it up (Sub60, Pace, etc..) to drop off at the freight's depot.
