  1. Give Wolfe Mufflers a call, have heard good things about them. City end of Dominion Road, by the Asian supermarket.

    Wheel choice

2 but not in chrome or 5
  3. Pretty sure the wiper speed will slow down when you are stationary vs moving. That means "slow when moving" will mean "intermitten when stationary" even if you haven't touch the stalk's position.
  4. For what car? Z3 can be DIY as it's just a zip.

    Is this possible

Pretty sure they can re-make a government plate into a Euro plate if you pay them. By doing so, I would assume you'll own the plate too.

    Alarmed

What do you want extra that the factory alarm can't give you? If it's pre-installed in your car, then it's actually quite a comprehensive system with tilt, ultrasound and glass break sensor all included.
  7. Burn them at a slower speed helps too especially if you use cheaper discs. I burn mine at 8x with iTunes.
  8. Didn't see that one. oops. Admin, please feel free to delete.
  9. as topic, Just have this installed this morning. Thank you for the guys at Autolign / Racelign Mt Wellington for a quick install and alignment. They managed to finish in just over 2 hours. Cost around $350 all up (parts, labour, alignment, GST) First impression: Much tighter front end and better feel at steering. It's more comfortable going through speed bumps (softer) but it offers more grip going corners. However, there's a bit of extra vibration felt through the steering at lower rev (1000-1500rpm, being a 3 cyc diesel doesn't help either). Some people on internet mention about squeaking sound after couple of month, but I don't think a LCA bushes would cause squeaking as it doesn't pivot like those on the end of a leaf spring. I guess I will find out later. Base on the first impression, I highly recommend to look at this as an alternative to factory rubber bushes. In my case the Nolathane is a little cheaper than genuine VW rubber bushes.

Just pick a motel through Google Maps. That's what my friends do for iTune stores.
  12. I do find little parts like screw, bolts, clips, etc.. very affordable at dealer. And they guarantee to be the right spec for where you want it to fit.

  14. It's those integrated DRLs making it look funny. I liked the 997 where the DRL has its own place on the side instead of stacking up with the indicators.
  15. Still cheaper than double that price again from a "$tealership".
  16. I have those on my car and they are crazy noisy, although they do grip well. I heard they are replaced by the new Asymetrical version but quite expensive. I got quoted $300+ each for 245/40/17. Edit: spelling

    Control arm bushes maybe?
  18. Dad told me back in his day of getting driver lincence, Stop signs means stop, hand brake, neutral gear then foot off the brake pedal then take off again. We sure are getting lazier.
  19. Those Samsung glasses are cool. The major turn-off for me in the whole 3D thing is the glasses. I should look into this further. Or do you guys think there will be major spec changes under Full HD 3D Glasses Initiative?
  20. as topic I am looking for some new shoes for my e46 coupe. I quite like some of the newer factory M-tech designs on the e92. Can I still use a staggered setup as exactly sold on the e92? or I will have to get 4 front wheels?
  21. Don't like the wheels (too big), paint (being matt) and exhaust (wrong place). I would much rather have a hidden exhaust where it exit behind a bumper for a clean finish. Each to their own.
  22. So, the "entry fee" for a decent 3D experience would be around 5-grand. (decent 46+ inch TV + extra glasses + sound system). I shall give that some thoughts.
