  1. I did tried GT5 in 3D and the effects are there. But the 3D glasses on top of my normal glasses makes it a awkward and uncomfortable. Also, maybe it's the model of TV I find it a bit flickering and lack the fluid motion as on normal 2D.
  2. I live in Auckland so I had no clue about snow driving. How about starting in second gear? And those that got traction control with manual gearbox, will that easier to stall than normal?
  3. On my e46, not much. Few kilos would set that off. Gotta love live data on those OBDII scanner.
  4. They had the M5 Touring but I hardly see them on the road. I am sure being 80k more than M3 have something to do with it but still....
  5. as topic Link to Police Media release Police will be enforcing this on major tourist route during the RWC. Right on I say. Hope this is more a permanent thing when the Cup is over.
  6. Not on a E39 as Glenn said. I'd say you were hoping you can disable it like the newer small cars (1-series, Golf, Polo, A3, etc) by turning a key in the glove box.
  7. 3D is over-rated IMO, especially with those silly glasses.
  8. Nice, but I reckon it will look even better with roof rails
  9. 100km/h you thought ?! 80km/h is pretty clearly sign posted and has been in effect for many months. You'll need to be more careful. So does 40kay on Ponsonby Road, 70kay on Newmarket over-bridge and 30kay on Queen Street.
  10. I use Firefox 5 for Mac and whenever I switch connection (say from Home WiFi to mobile XT Broadband), I'll need to re-login to the site. Can I get a login that stays logged in on a browser regardless of connection changes?
  11. Mobile support either by an App or m.bimmersport.co.nz would be good.

    Hidden Speed Cameras

+1 From memory, they don't ticket every photo taken. Only the top certain percent are sent ticket. If you got a ticket in the mail from a camera van, you truely deserve it.
  13. Deadlock is on by default regardless of locking by key or remote.
  14. When will you be doing it (import)? My e46 will need some new tyres in couple of months.
  15. Video take ages to load but sure is interesting.
  16. Why not get a build sheet to see if it actually has one (alarm) from factory? If there is one then test and see if it actually working. The fact about key unlocking and internal sensors can be programmed. Maybe get a workshop (or someone has a BMW scanner) to check your alarm programing.
  17. http://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/welcome.jsp http://service-parts.mercedes-benz.com/dca...register.action (Edit: No good for NZ, won't take NZ credit card) They are not free and need registering, but the info are straight from the factory. WIS (workshop manuals) are also available for a fee.
  18. Love the fact that the US people can order their car in US, take delivery in Germany and have a road trip around Europe and then BMW ships the car back to US for local delivery. Wish we can do that in NZ, or can we?

    CRC Speedshow

I've been there with a friend, just in time to catch couple of the demos. D1NZ demo, HSV vs old Mini gymkana. Girls are ok-ish, but not much show specials if anyone is looking to shop.

    CRC Speedshow

First time go-er, how's the past ones like? Worth the $18.5 entrance fee?
  21. When you use the IR remote, which part of the car do you point at to try to get it to work? Many people I spoke to say point at the locks but really should be pointing at the middle rear view mirror which is where the sensor is. My old e36 has IR key and the key will work around 3 cars' length away. But after windows tinting it's down to 1.5 cars length from back and sides.
  22. They are an option in USA, you might be able to find them on eBay. Not sure if they are compatible with your home garage's frequency though. I think it's called "HomeLink".
  23. Cream leather seat I can handle but cream carpet is where the pains are. Had that in a Honda Accord years ago, it's a bi*ch trying to keep it clean. I haven't seen cream colour seats in e46 before but cinnamon (i.e. dark tan or light brown) look good in black interior (carpet and trim).
