f**king glorious. Some sound clips would be welcomed...

It is yeah. It was the first US Spec delivered. He said AGES ago that he was getting the first one, and it looks like they kept their promise.

Did New Zealand get any black 1M's?
vtgts300kw replied to Golfboy666GTI's topic in General Discussion
Not sure how much of a role that played. That agreement was purely political. -
Wasn't it on trademe a while ago with the owner saying they are going overseas?
-
I was wondering if this car was still around. I used to ride around in it all the time with the original owner who bought it over with him. He had the Turbines on it. Sweet, sweet, sweet car.

$50k E30 M3 makes the $25k E30 325 look cheap
vtgts300kw replied to smudger's topic in TradeMe discussions
The 'vert is lovely. I'd be putting some 'weaves on it however, those E36 wheels do nothing for the car. And the old adage applies ( especially to the 'vert ). Someone will pay what they are willing to pay, and to the right person, the car is worth every bit of his asking price. It's a cheap ( relatively ) classic car in good condition. -
$50k E30 M3 makes the $25k E30 325 look cheap

Welp, that Monza wheel looks pretty. And what's the $25k E30 325? -
It's the CAPTCHA "branded" ones that the op is talking about.
-
I'm not sure if it still the case, but CAPTCHA isn't as random as it seems. The words/ phrases come from the computers ( and companies ) which are digitising books. The words which you are trying to guess, are words or phrases from scanned text which the computer couldn't make out, or wants confirmation it's guess is correct. Again, this may not be correct anymore, but that's certainly what it used to do.

Everyone knows a mapped 335 is the fastest BMW. There have been a few people in the UK who have gone the whole hog and done it properly.
-
Well this has gone swimmingly. And what has caused those cuts in your photo Matt?
-
If they think they could sell them, they'd make it. I wouldn't be surprised if they do make one to take on the S65 AMG. Nobody NEEDS a car like that, but plenty of people want it. I mean, they made the M SUV's...

What "type" of guy ended up buying the car?
-
He has said the car has been taken apart at Taylors Automotive, I'm pretty sure all options would have been covered.
-
When I saw it just before the engine was put back in it, the chassis hadn't been upgraded... and at the time, there were no plans to. My first comment, like yours, was surely that thing is going to twist?

For me, the E28 can't have the bodykit. The black example above is f'ing stunning. Good ones from a reputable dealer in the UK go for £20k+. Dolphin grey is amazing as well.

Spotted a dark grey E34 M5 on Kalmarna Ave yesterday. God damn.
-
I think you linked the wrong auction ( unless you linked the wrong auction in your other thread ). If you got the Auckland M3 for $10k, jesus christ that is good buying.

Put a post up on the international one as well, can't hurt. There are some mind bogglingly knowledgeable people on there. And also, try the New Zealand Film Archive.

I've seen that green touring quite a bit. Looks in mint condition and I think it's NZ new? Driven by a middle aged dude.
-
Awesome. There is a closed group on facebook that you could try ( if you haven't already ) https://www.facebook.com/groups/supertourers/

What's the car?
