Is it an eastwing hammer or so crappy copy? How much was the toolbox? Teng is really good when it comes to trays.
-
Glenn will see you right.
-
Listen to qube. Get rid of it asap and get a 6 cylinder model.
-
Yea, I just don't want to suddenly get charged, and all my photos vanish from the thread unless I pay them $400 a year.
-
The photos for my project thread are on my computer, so I need to load them from there.
-
When I try and add pictures to my project thread I'm starting it says; "There was a problem processing the uploaded file. Please contact us for assistance." Please help?

Kayne Barrie would be a good person to ask.
-
What do you reckon that lot weighs?

I find https://www.schmiedmann.com/ the best. They are nearly always the cheapest, freight is reasonable, and delivery is fast. Just make sure each order is under $400 nz including shipping or you will get stung with gst and customs charges, and it will take longer to get delivered.

Big pair of vice grips. If that fails, grind two sides of the bolt so you have better grip.

Scammer alert. Glenn, dont deal with this scammer.
-
Auckland. I reverse searched his physical address, so if anyone was scammed by him we know where the money is. Also, hopefully it puts him off making another account and trying again.

320i is the 2.2litre 6 cylinder. Its the 318i in the e46 which had the four cylinder motors. Personally I think any 6 cylinder e46 is fine if you dont want crazy performance. My wifes 320i is fine to drive. Of course if you are after performance get a 330i
-
Yes I didn't pay him any money because I was suspicious from the start. Using a photo from someone elses ebay listing was the first red flag. Not letting it be picked up and paid on delivery was another red flag, as was the constant pressure for money.
-
Buy a 6 cylinder. If you do get a 4 cylinder completely avoid the N42 or N46 motors as they will empty your wallet and still leave you stranded.
-
I reported the thread, and I pm'd an admin. I also strung the spammer along and got his full name, bank account number and reverse searched his phone number and address. I just didn't want anyone to get scammed.

Scammers. Maybe we need a minimum post limit before selling something to stop scammers?

Will thicker spring pads add in 'slop'? I'm considering putting in thicker springpads to soften my rear springs.

It maximizes the test and delivers a higher figure.

Yes, and make sure you have the throttle open when testing.
-
Hey Hans, has there been much progress on this build? I'm curious as my m62 is currently at Taylor Automotive getting checked.
-
Yea, easy to do yourself, and you could proboably buy a cheap compression tester for similar to having a mechanic do it for you.

Personally I would say Koken was a step above all the tool brands I mentioned, or at least level with the earlier Craftsman tools. Very nice.

I use Craftsman and Powerbuilt, and my torque wrenches are Jonesway. Sadly the Craftsman stuff has deteriorated in quality in the last decade as they started moving manufacturing to Asia, but my Craftsman stuff is earlier. Powerbuilt is good for what it is. I heard the repco branded stuff is made in the same factory - don't know if thats true or not. Bahco, Jonesway, Kincrome are good too, and compete with Powerbuilt. I've also found the cheap Toolpro spanners and socket sets from Supacheap to be good value for money if you are watching your budget. You cant survive without good tools. If money wasnt an issue I would get snap on.
