That parts shop is pretty good, although I've heard pretty sketchy stuff about the BMW place behind it at the end of the dead end street. Pretty sure they are not related though.

No way! I grew up in Celtic Cres and the family house is still there!

Looks like Evans is already trying to undersell Top Gear; http://www.driven.co.nz/news/lifestyle/another-pitt-stop-hollywood-hunk-brad-pulls-out-of-top-gear/?ref=viva_networkfooter I'm more looking forward to 'the grand tour' with the original hosts, but I will give both a shot.

So what type bushings were decided on, and how did the car feel? -

What glue are you going to use? I've had success with ados but it has to be brushed on not the spray type.

Buy a galaxy instead

These are great dailys. Check for wear in the control arms and play in the steering at these kms.

Isn't the point of this forum to share our 'tricks' and knowledge with other members so all can benefit? For what its worth, painting the logos on tyres is not something I like the look of, but others might and will want to know how to do it. Rant over.

Hey Graham, when I'm back up in Auckland you can come and see how it mounted to my parts car and grab the bumper mounts off it.

I think oem is around $150 per side, and you can order the hd versions which have stronger steel on the ball joint which increase their life and aid steering feel. Definitely worth doing control arm bushes while you are in there, and possibly tie rod ends too. Don't forget a wheel alignment when its all done.

Next Batch of Government 7s up for Tender

My understanding is the previous Labour government got an excellent deal on these, with the current National government renewing the contract twice so far. Cars were bought new for nearly the price of what they sell for second hand after 3 years of use. And there are no maintenance or repair costs as these are covered under BMW's warranty program and service program. So essentially its a win/win/win, as the govt gets a nice fleet for cheap, BMW gets free advertising, and the taxpayer pays very little. I suspect these cars will be a good buy for someone as they will be in tiptop shape. -
What diff ratio do you have at the moment? And is it a 5 speed box?
