You don't need to go inside to pay for fuel. Use the BPME app Or go to Z if you don't need 98, and pay at the pump.

Taken my old E46 to them a couple times. My experiences were good. They've fixed cooling system issues, aircon, and told me when they thought certain jobs I requested were a waste of money. I felt like they were very good and honest.

Yes MHD simply turns off the check. I've been wondering about doing this too. Would consider having stock cats gutted if it's much cheaper, but I'm not too keen to pull out the downpipe myself.

You're pretty much ruining the car doing that, nobody will want to buy an LPG X5... If you want more economy you should get a different car. X5 is not the right choice at all for an economical town car....

Looks like Brent / BM World will be getting more E90 parts in stock.

Interesting - E90 323i with M3 interior etc

Those are not M3 seats, just the sport seats. "After market steering wheel" looks just like the regular non-sport wheel with something wrapped on it for extra padding. -
A good tyre shop should be helpful. Platinum Wheels on the North Shore specialise in this sort of thing, they could probably advise you and help you fit the right size tyres. For a start, the wheel specs should be imprinted on them. Usually on the inside near the centre. Look for numbers and figures written on them and post them up here

Sounds well sorted, you'll have fun with that! How much of a difference you feel from those M3 arms?

Only get the RE 003s if they're significantly cheaper. They're not at the top with the PZeros, Eagle F1 Asymmetric or Pilot Sports, they're a step below but still very good. In the US they're cheap and get rave reviews for their price level (branded as Firestone Indy 500 there), but here they might not be so cheap. Yes I'm on MHD stage 1 as well, it's a pretty decent amount of extra power

Eagle F1 Asymmetrics or Pilot Sport 4s will make your car much more pleasant to drive. Mine came with runflats too, I've found both to be excellent replacements. Running a tune on it?

Drifting in an empty area causing no danger or nuisance to the public at all, but it's illegal because of the "sustained loss of traction" law. Pity we have such poorly thought out laws here and then enforce them by-the-book. That law was meant to target nuisance boy racers, it really should have been written better to only target dangerous and nuisance cases.

I'll be coming to these once my car and insurance is sorted... Went to the 20min intro special and it was so fun, but my brakes couldn't cope
-
Let me just apply for the 150k loan... Who needs a house anyway Where the hell am I gonna use 750hp around here though, that beast would have more fun in Europe sadly

Such a shame they stopped making the Z4 coupe. Best looking Z by far, even the newer Z4 hardtop doesn't look as good. Enjoy it, should be great fun to drive!

As you don't have USB/iPhone audio that won't work. There is no cheap option that would work with steering wheel controls. I've got this: https://www.amazon.com/iClever-Bluetooth-Hands-Free-Multi-Point-Activation/dp/B00GJFGE0K Works well, great sound quality. You can stick it near the iDrive controller and route the cables under the handbrake boot (well, on my E92, not sure on the 1 series). So at least the controls are easy to reach.

Why do these exist and why do people buy them? They look stupid and don't seem practical. A station wagon makes more sense if you need a hatch with 4 doors.

My AS2s must have close to 20 000km on them and even the rears look like they could do another 20 000. This is on a 335i that gets a good thrashing once in a while and I have smoked them many times (not burnouts, just launches). Although the majority of the KMs are clocked up on the slow drive to and from work, which might be why. Most of your driving must be more fun than mine :/ I'm running on PS4s now as I bought different sized wheels. Slightly sharper feel to them which I like, grip level feels similar. Apparently they wear faster than the Goodyears though so maybe not a good choice for you

Just keep the original exhaust around, and if you need to make a big claim you can swap it back at a Pitstop or somewhere before you take it in. If you have a good relationship with your workshop they might even take care of that for you... I'm in a similar boat. Got one potential big claim, once it's sorted I might just go nuts...

Saw this one on Trademe a while ago. Looks awesome, must be hard to let it go

335is in the US was N54 only. Yep true heat is likely. Don't think the car tells you right away that it's pulling timing from heat so they probably didn't know.
-
"BMW 335i coupe" has a 3 sec faster time than the 335is and 135i? 335is is the US model 335i with performance power kit, some unique body bits, and came with DCT - only way Americans could get DCT on the 335i. No way it's slower. They must have had a slower driver or worse conditions, look how close the Golf GTI's time is to them
-
Well value takes a hit so as long as you're paying a fair bit less than what you would for a low km one it's ok. Just get a PPI from a good specialist as above. My 335i DCT just passed 150 000km and it's been ok. A few things break as expected but nothing catastrophic. Even took it to a 20 min track session recently and it handled it fine.

335i 2006 red steering lock sign after dead battery
Matth5 replied to new2thisgame's topic in Electrical system
"DME: DME internal Fault ram checksum " That hints at an incomplete flash. Try flash again, if that fails do a full restore (flash stock ROM) in MHD. Just resetting a code doesn't make the issue that caused it go away... Might be more effective to hook up with another car's battery than using a charger. Also you can reduce battery drain while flashing by pulling the low pressure fuel pump fuse, it's fuse 70 in this car. I frequently get away with doing the full 30 min flash in MHD without a charger by doing this... For some reason the flash process makes that pump run the whole time. Note this is assuming an MHD flash was involved. If not, then this probably isn't the issue. -
Number plate surround and a sticker to go on rear windows or windscreens would be good marketing. BMW enthusiasts tend to check out other BMWs they they like, so they'd notice the stickers and plate surrounds.
