I showed this to my female friend fully expecting her to crack up laughing... "That looks cool!" Maybe it's not a joke after all The first question on the Q and A is a crack-up too "Whoa! Lock up your daughters!"

Looks like it's been corrected to "M-Sports" now.

No idea. You could drop VRSF an email to confirm, if they don't explicitly say RHD fits then be wary. I'd suggest before buying any DP to always see if you can confirm RHD fitment, I don't think all American sellers bother to test it.
-
Hmm dunno, you could get someone to weld in a new hole. Or avoid getting into my situation and buy a brand known to fit haha.
-
No, they disable the emissions error codes which does the job as long as it's still connected. When the connector is unplugged you get a different error code which MHD doesn't disable. I've asked for them to disable this code too but as I'm apparently the only one with this issue they don't want to spend time on it. I might try to plug the sensor in and tie it to something in the engine bay some day. But I suspect the weird readings it'll get from doing that might cause other issues. And I have to take apart crap in the engine bay to reach the connector which I don't want to deal with now haha.

Just watch out for RHD fitment. The VRSF E series N55 downpipe did not state anything for RHD fitment on the page... and as it turns out you can't plug in the secondary O2 due to the steering rack. Usable... just means even MHD won't disable the check engine light.

LOL seriously, people that sell cars for a living can't tell a 320i apart from an M3? Wow
-
So do newer BMWs, at least the Xenon ones.

BMw doesn't seem to be doing this recall outside of the US. Same with the 335i driveshaft part. We're only getting the airbag recall. Guess they're only scared of Americans suing them.

Maybe http://www.hivelocity.co.nz/ (Gavin Bellars) would do an MHD tune? BM Workshop Botany recommended him when I asked for advice on a tune. I haven't had time yet but I've been planning to contact him about a custom tune, I was hoping he'd provide MHD flashable maps. Really no reason a proper tuner couldn't do this, they make the maps the same way regardless. If they can't, then maybe they're doing some other hack job rather than a DME flash tune? Edit: Website not working ATM, but they have a Facebook page too: https://www.facebook.com/pg/Hi-Velocity-136383189765362/about/

There was one going at 35k last year some time but it didn't stay up for long! Same colour as this, would have been a good buy for sure. That's the cheapest I've seen. I'd pick one over an E46 M3 for the uniqueness.

An appropriate term for the kind of person who would do a modification like that, yes

Looking at M3's. Is a higher km car an issue?

You'll probably need to take care of some expensive services soon if they haven't been done. Rod bearings and DCT service should be done around 100-150k. -
FCPeuro have pretty good shipping rates. The dealer might surprise you (long shot, you either get lucky or they give you a good laugh...)

BM Workshop outsourced some of the engine work on my N55 to them, I can see it on the invoice. Going by the invoice: head bolt thread repair, head gasket replacement and cylinder head inspection. It's still running perfectly several thousand km later so I guess they're ok

I have KW V2 and with the right settings they're great on the road. Just a little tricky on some driveways and parking buildings

Someone got carried away with M Stripes
Matth5 replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
Ah looks like they're not doing it with most models now. Still with the 2 series though, the "M/// 240i". -

My 335i has 7 that I can think of. Although it's down to 3 as I'm not using the stock wheels...yes the wheels have little M badges on them, lol (style 225). The F series models get even worse. At least mine doesn't get a factor M badge on the boot, the new ones do if they're M-Sport. -
If you still have the stock wheels, you might be better off selling the Apex wheels separately. They only add value to the car if the buyer really likes them.

Because people like their mods to be visible I guess. Same for after market suspension, brake kits ect. All bright and shiny colours, while the OEM stuff is usually just black.

Nice. Kinda miss my E46, they do feel quite different to the E90s.

That bloody Panmure roundabout, nearly been hit a few times trying to go straight from the middle lane. Now I just stick to the right lane as a precaution (going from Ellierslie-Panmure highway to Lagoon Drive)
-
As long as you send it somewhere good for an inspection they shouldn't miss anything. BM Workshop, or since you're on the Shore Bellars are also excellent. Check the usual - see how it sounds and drives. Get maintenance history if possible. It has some good options there, comfort access, active steering, bluetooth - all great stuff to have. Highly recommend a mechanical warranty. Autosure have saved me thousands on mine. Oh and that's an E91. The E92 is the coupe
-
LOL at the M badge on the engine.

Mine came with KW V2 and it handles great, I've taken it on track once too and it was awesome. Was from that same dealer too. The guys that run that place love BMWs, they bring in heaps of well spec'ed 335is. I see that ad mentions "replacement value over $4,000" so it might be the V3s which are even better. V2s only have adjustable rebound, V3s allow compression adjustment too. Go take it for a test drive
