Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?
bradgalbraith replied to E30 325i Rag-Top's topic in TradeMe discussions
I’m assuming ‘yet another..’ is referring to the E39 M5 I co-owned from back in 2020? My mate and I walked away with $3k profit each so rest assured I haven’t retired a millionaire. Making a little bit of money on a couple of cars over the years hardly makes me a criminal! Lol. PS, I’ve done a lot more work to the E30 than change the wheels. -
As per title. Based in Auckland but happy to work something out if theres a set out of town.

Price drop, $50k ono

Open to reasonable offers, $55k is a starting point.

Offering up my 1996 NZ New E36 M3 3.2 Evolution. As much as I love this car, I’m finding I don’t get to use it as much as I’d like ( 2 doors don’t work with young kids). Looking to move to an E90 M3 instead. details: •NZ new •166,000kms •Factory 6 speed manual •Non-sunroof •Aluminium doors •Black leather interior •Near new Bilstein suspension •Plenty of service history Best description of the condition of the car is that it’s a true survivor. It has a few stone chips but not one dent or clear coat fade. It presents very well and would be hard to find another in this condition. Please get in touch if you’d like to view. Car is in Central Auckland. 021 657 522 Thanks, Brad

Depending on what you want to do, I can help out with the trims. I’ve recently repaired and recoloured mine on my E46 M3. I run the Auckland Central Trimfix franchise

Such a stunning car. I’d say money well spent!

The used car market seems so flat right now that not even the low ballers are making offers!

Yes, it’s back! I traded my previously accident damaged 911 for the M3 as I was getting nowhere with selling it. The M3 is a great car and drives very well. I run the Auckland Central franchise of Trimfix and have reconditioned the interior, fitted a ZHP gearknob, lowering springs and carried out a service. Im facing a BIG loss on this car as the 911 repair went well over budget, hence the high asking price. I am however negotiable so if anyone is interested, please get in touch as I’d like to move the car along! P.S the sunroof delete comment got me good 😂 -
As per title. Can do a trade on a set of Apex ARC 8 19 inch in great condition currently on the car.

Pretty sure this Defender sold for about $18k (if not less) several years ago. I was looking to make a move on it but decided to get a td5 which was less of a project. I get that it’s about the novelty of having an m52 powered defender from factory but you could have much the same car for less than a third..

Messaged you.

Sure do. Message me, thanks. Also have S50B32 rods, SMG pump and shifter control etc if anyone is interested.

Hi all, If the price is right, I'm keen to sell my set of 436M wheels (Image off the internet). Minimal curbing but tyres are no good. What's the going rate, $1000? Cheers. Brad

He warned me that there were some hairlines cracks but I was curious to see if it would last.. it didn't. Got an aluminium one on the way. Hopefully it's not too much of a PITA to fit. I still can't believe how rapid it is.

Aaaaand I bought one. Very content with my decision despite blowing up the charge pipe on the test drive! lol
-
How dare you betray the mighty colour of Estoril blue!?
-
Ok good to know. I'm always on top of my oil changes and will use the best quality. Interesting that they run so hot. I'm not even sure how often youd get to put your foot flat with a stage 1! It's a rocket from the factory!
-
Just test drove one... wow. My wife wasnt keen and said it looks too feminine but once I put my foot down we were both convinced! Such a good little car with quite a lot of character.

Awesome to hear, thanks. Pretty much reaffirms everything I've heard already. It's a strange transition for me as I'm having to leave my e36 M3 behind. We had a little toyota daily but now with just a defender and an M3 it's not feasible to have two 'needy' cars. Looking to have something a bit more modern and comfortable. I think the M135i is a great all rounder and a superior alternative to an R32 MK5/ MK6 R.

Been looking at reviews and by all accounts the F20 M135i seems like just about the perfect allrounder. Anyone owners on here who care to comment? Thanks

Emissions or now having a flat spot at 3k? To be honest it was a waste of time, not much better at all. Hardly cost me anything though so not fussed.

Whipped the exhaust off over the weekend to repair a crack and cut the cats out for a more exciting exhaust note. Also changed the spark plugs, LCAB, gearbox mounts (rubbish for a street car, taking them back out) and gave the car a wash. Slowly getting there.

Nothing at all. Looks like $1750 on a backbox from BestExhaust is your best option.
