  1. Awesome work dude. I dream of a day I have time kid-free to do something like this. ?
  2. So the rebuild is a bit sh*t, they know it and they’re trying to fob on some sucker.
  3. Case by case basis. I reserve the right to dislike whatever I dislike, and to change my mind about whatever I like or dislike at any point.
  4. I don't mind the outside styling. The interior is what I really dislike. Maybe if it was black it wouldn't be so bad, but this example has a very ugly interior to me. (and certainly, it is subjective, my taste may well differ from yours, etc...)
  5. It's butt ugly. That interior is dated, etc...
  6. This is true in a very simple sort of way. It is technically untrue that all torque is up front, but because of the rpms of electric engines, most of the time there is just one gear for the full rpm range. In formula E, there are cars with multiple gears for even crazier acceleration. Engineering Explained did an awesome video on gis topic. Can’t recommend this channel highly enough.
  7. Technically for yesterday... I was wracking my brain as to why my stereo wasn’t working after taking out all the crap aftermarket wiring and it dawned on me I was missing a fuse due to weird wiring Removed. It all works now. I’m pleased. ?
  8. If you’re were closer I’d be hitting you up to paint mine. ? I love this thread.
  9. Really? I did not know this. This would totally change my mind on our next wagon.
  10. As a specific car, this looks quite tidy. As a car in general.. good god, the 90s weren’t kind, or stylish, eh.
  11. https://www.trademe.co.nz/1428860727 More amusing at his stage than anything.
  12. Seriously under-rated channel. He should have more viewers. But unlike, say, ChrisFix, he's very focused on his E46. Such good videos and I extra appreciate that it's nice and authentic. I just watched his rear main seal video and when the torque converter just spews ATF all over the place at the end... precious. "sh*t"
  13. For the E46, I have some amazing channels I watch every night while rocking our baby to sleep. I need to make some time in my life to document the stuff I know/do/watch that'd be useful to people. For the E46, the best channel I've found is The 50s Kid I also really like ShopLifeTV. I watch them for the M54/5h19 videos and it works well for me. FCP Euro Channel and one of their now product people has his own channel The Car Life both of which I also find useful, though not as specific as the two above.
  14. It is US based. I find their shipping quite reasonable (and usually cheaper than other places) and while they cost a bit more, their warranty is awesome, as is their service department. Even their youtube channel is extremely informative and I've learned a lot watching it.
  15. Subjective, but I can accept it might be pricey as compared to some other options. I do like the idea of only buying something once though...
  16. Yes, sort of. 12 is max. the lowest batteries reported are at 8 bars. In the US, they replace these batteries for free. The batteries are largely lasting longer than they were expected to by Nissan.
  17. $1500 was pretty cheap. Not surprised. It was only for sale for a couple of weeks too.
  18. Nice. What year? What did you pay? How many bars? we got. 2011 with 10 bars for $10.7. Totally worth it so far. We don’t even notice a difference in our power bill. Down from $110-220/month for petrol.
  19. What electric car did you get? Good luck with the sale!
  20. Must be from the same factory as this one.
  21. I do still prefer the e39 of the two. ?
  22. I’d certainly say 2003 e39 at $1500 or less is a better buy than e36 at $3k. Whole new generation of car. Safety features, etc... edit: this assumes a reasonable condition for both. If the e36 is mint... but then an e36 for $3k isn’t mint either, right?
