  1. Another 70s hit. Will forever be one of my favourite driving songs (idea for a new thread?)
  2. That is absolutely stunning! Needs a little bit of love - coat coming off wheels, front bumper fitment etc. But overall it is stunning. Paint looks to be in good shape, and the interior/engine bay both look new! It won’t take much to get it mint. Buy it!
  3. It is beautiful, and pretty rare, in its current form. Choice is totally yours to make, but if you’re going for looks, give it a couple months. They may grow on you. And if you’re going for handling, you’ll be surprised what a suspension refresh, bigger ARBs and decent tyres will do for the car. I’m speaking from experience. In any case, congrats on the purchase. It sat in my watchlist for a while, looking stunning ?
  4. 155,500 kms. New rubber time. In preparation for the new Michelins I got Auto38 to check my suspension as my old Eagle F1s were wearing unevenly. The LF lower control arm and LR upper arm were shagged, so they were quickly replaced. This also got rid of an annoying suspension clunk issue I had ?. Then a new set of Michelin PS4s. I can’t believe how much the old worn tyres were holding this car back. It’s got way more traction, the steering is more responsive, it handles a LOT nicer and the overall drive is noticeably smoother. Finally got this car driving exactly how I want it to. Really enjoying it at the moment.
  5. Thanks. Yeah, probably hasn't sold because it is a bit on the expensive side. It also lacks a few niceties like heated seats and xenons etc. It does look to be in really nice shape though. Depends what you're looking for in a car. I would aim to pay less than that though. You've got the fact that it's been on the market for 12 months on your side in terms of bargaining
  6. The engines in the 330i’s are pretty bulletproof. Link to the listing?
  7. Just found this car previously for sale on here: Certainly appreciating
  8. These things are pretty common I reckon ?: https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2178604642.htm
  9. Alternatively, you could try the Wheel Magician? Probably easier than finding another nice wheel
  10. Nice car! Beautiful colour and my favourite wheels for the E92 ?. Enjoy it!
  11. Are they BAVSOUND? Does yours just the base stereo?
  12. Nice! Keep us up to date on the sound system changes
  13. I think the yellow is pretty special. In other news: https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2165956570.htm
  14. Regarding the PFL lights: apart from it obviously being a matter of taste, there is something to be said for an original car. This one looks totally un-modified and as it would have come out of the factory. That’s pretty cool. As soon as you do the lights, then you’ll have the wrong steering wheel, the wrong nav screen...
  15. They’re the comfort seats, which have also been optioned with the ‘Active Seat’ function which is essentially a primitive seat massage. This car is extremely well optioned. In fact it’s one of the highest specs I’ve seen, apart from it missing certain facelift features like front PDC, auto lights etc. Only options I think it’s missing are the rear sun blind and extended leather This is an absolute stunner. They don’t come around this nice and original very often
  16. Well done! Even I’m tempted with a Mondeo after the Grand Tour’s piece on it. Sold the E46 then?
  17. Sorry, just realised that wasn’t overly clear. *can’t comment on how it works with the high cluster
  18. Oh yep. Most NZ new 530i’s have the low cluster I’ve found. Tend to be more poverty spec than the imports. Mines a low cluster, so can’t comment on how the GROM unit works with it
  19. Yep to tucking the unit behind the radio. It’s impossible to know it’s in there. Let me know how you get on with speakers. That’s something I definitely want to get done soon ?
  20. Hey mate, ended up buying this one here: https://gromaudio.com/store/bt3_adapters/bmw-mini-98-05-bluetooth-adapter-car-kit-behind-the-radio-connector.html This one is the version above the one I linked in the principal post. I decided I’d rather just have Bluetooth and not faff about with annoying cords. It’s Bluetooth, works with the factory head unit, is completely hidden away and retains the functionality of the steering wheel buttons etc. Absolutely perfect for me. Happy with the audio quality and my phone connects automatically every time I get in the car. I really like how it reads out the song title/album title/artist on the factory screen. Some people I’ve taken in the car have asked how an 18 year old car has Bluetooth! I keep telling people: this isn’t a Honda Accord, this is the real deal ?. It also comes with a handsfree mic, but I decided not to plug that in. I don’t drive and talk on the phone often, but mainly I find that those external mics look out of place. That’s just personal preference though. Only downside is you lose the functionality of the CD changer. I’m pretty sure this can be reverted back if you ever want to play your CDs, but don’t quote me on that. I don’t really miss mine at all. Installation isn’t too bad. If I can do it, most people can. Instructions are pretty helpful. I assume your car is the same as mine, in that it has no DSP or nav? In that case, this will work just fine with your car. The one I’ve linked doesn’t have a USB function, but I believe GROM offers one with USB. Slightly more expensive I think. Let me know if you have any issues ?
  21. Photos of your new vehicle are required. Please and thanks
