I didn't see any other listings. Do you have links...

This price seems crazy to me. Photo makes it look like there are likely rodents living in there as well... Am I just out of touch with the m20b25 engine market? https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/engines/listing/5489058511

Nice. I've been lurking in your nam3forum thread and using it as a reference for my learning.

Interested as well. Looking at a new shed. Hadn't heard of Keter until now. They look nice.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

1990 E30 320i M52B28 swapped $26.5k https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/320i/listing/5487200497 -
Seems like my best option at this stage. Unless I can find somewhere in NZ that can do it. Not the kind of thing I would normally do myself. Sounds like a good idea to get some quotes around my way first before going with DIY.

That looks good. Cool I'll order that kit for sure. Probably save some money in the process as well doing it myself. Cheers.

Might give this a go.

I'm wanting to get my m-tech 1 steering wheel from my E30 refurbished. I have no idea where to look or start. How would I go about getting this done? Has anyone done this before? Where did you go to to get it done?

E30 320iS is another example. 2L S14. Basically an M3 equivalent for Italy and Portugal with the same displacement tax.
-
You have probably seen this and may not be looking for a 60k M3 but this one has been on TM for a while. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m3/listing/5423474972

Thought you were referring to anyone on the benefit with a car. Your comment is harsh in that context. But I see now you're referring to a specific type.

What year is this? And is it still for sale?
-
Sob story is a bit harsh in general (yea some may be taking the p*ss but not all).

This would be a scenario where I would want the data stored by an offshore company in say Switzerland. The GPS company or whoever just creates the means to collect. This thing can fire the data over to where privacy and data protection laws are strong. Keeping that data in NZ just opens it up to the usual shenanigans that governments like ours can get around. Split collection and storage up. Better yet, allow drivers to choose where their data is stored. At least provide the option. But as I mentioned. This won't be a concern of the government andthird party companies.
-
Depends on who that company is and their privacy policy. There are ways in which data could be handled correctly - putting control in the hands of the owners of that data (the driver). But I bet that won't happen.

Don't mind the air bags. But those are the ugliest rims I've ever seen.

Gotta make sure no one snags their shirt on it when walking past it 😁

Interesting. Maybe they deemed it as dangerous to people outside the car? https://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/vehicle-exterior/external-projections

I'm guessing that was a few years back. Not stoking the price market. Just pointing out what it was last listed at. If I thought 30k plus side fund for immediate maintenance/updates was worth it then it would be in my garage right now.
-
When did it go for $16k?
-
Closest example I've seen recently was a 1995 Avus Blue 540i/6 (factory manual) with about 160k on the clock. I think it has the same interior in similar condition. Last saw going for 30k on Sunday drive. Owner originally listed at 26k and it didn't move at that price. IMO that one had a better colour and wheels. But I doubt they went to the same level with maintenance. And this has much less km's. I'd change the wheels on this fjord gray 540i. Factory manual is nice but I'd look past that with what has been done here. Think I'd still maybe lean towards the avus blue one. Just looks so cool in that colour. Fjord gray is a little boring compared to the avus blue. I'll be keeping an eye out on this and avus blue one. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to get my hands on one of them in the future (but I would drive it a lot - won't be a garage queen).
-
If I had enough room in my garage I would be getting that 540i. Good price and I can't see there being a better condition example out there.

Some new listings. I've seen the E34 and E39 discussed on this forum at some point. Don't have FB so couldn't view the E34 at the time. Beautiful example (same with the E39).
