  6. Since i'm moving shortly there really no point. But i'll look to another provider when I sign up again. I've tried both with & without proxy, it could be the reliable old proxy I was using has been taken offline. If someone has a good free proxy please PM me the details. I'm just too cheap to pay for one. lol.
  7. hahaha..... yeah I was thinkin that. If you are in the market to buy a sweet pad close to town hit me up. I even have a weekender in martinborough if you like to get away for the odd wine wknd! deals for BMsport members!!
  8. I've had all utorrent traffic blocked in the last 5 days. Had to switch torrent client to get it working again. also noticeable latency on Ghosts recently. Telstraclear used to be solid. Only issues since VF took over.
  9. It doesn't care about DSP so wont be a problem. It's just a source. This is it. http://www.gadgets4u.co.nz/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=27&category_id=368&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2 $295 You might want to check it will run off your particular phone, as mine is just an old school ipod but I like this as it has 120GB of music! edit: this looks to be a newer model than mine with some cool new features!
  10. I run the DICE ipod system from forum sponsor http://www.gadgets4u.co.nz/ you loose the CD stacker but gain an ipod in your glovebox. Install is easy. Steering wheel controls are retained.
  11. hey! I'll have you know I catch the bus everyday. the M5 sits tucked up in my garage But yes Hataitai is ridiculously easy to get to town. But it's still a suburb. We have some of the best takeways also. $10 taxi to town. $20 to the airport. A good coat & gloves are a must. Don't think you can get away with an umbrella. It screams tourist.
  12. I live in Hataitai & it's 8 mins on a bus to town. I work near the Xero HQ. there's plenty of new apartments going up in the city so keep an eye out. Wtgn city is a great walking town. You can walk pretty much anywhere easily so avoid the car, rent in town and walk it would be my recommendation. You should be able to locate a apartment close to your work with a carpark for a decent rate.

    E38 750i wanted.

My dad owned an SWB NZ new 750i back in the day. So they def sold them here. I have to admit it was the only SWB I ever saw. edit: i just carjam'd the plate. seems it's not currently on any car. this would probably indicate it's long gone to the big scrapheap in the sky.
  14. nice 1 ray. i look forward to bringing my M5 around to Hell BM HQ when I move to auckland.
  15. so good.... http://jalopnik.com/how-jeff-gordon-scared-the-crap-out-of-me-1531016226
  16. Ah hahahahahahahaha............. best thread in ages!
  17. tough question to answer! it really depends on various factors including car value, potential cost savings, tools, and mechanical aptitude. For me. I know my way around a wench. But running an M5 it was a no-brainer to pay a professional the $80 to change my gearbox oil with specialty redline products I purchased myself. The risk of damaging something in my poxy little concrete garage outweighed any labour costs. If my car was alittle cheaper... or I had room or a hoist. Would be a different story.
  18. To be honest. If u are intending on towing something heavy like a full horse float it would be prudent to do all these measures anyway just incase. So not a complete waste.
  19. wow. my blog about this experience has had nearly 5,000 views in 2 days.(& still climbing). I've taken this down as it's not serving any purpose now. sad thing is.... on the 18th Geoff is posting about waiting for turners to show up & drag away the rest of his liquidated company's assets. At the same time Aaron is posting un-dated video of him doing burnouts in shop S15 that Geoff paid for. karma's a b*tch.
  20. yes a very similar story heard over & over again. After I finally got my car back & it started displaying problems Aaron stopped returning calls or answering his or the shop phone. In court he claimed that they never heard from me again as were all surprised I had problems. Which was utter, utter BS. Aaron started Shred Industries with another guy, the other guy wanted out, Geoff bought in when they purchased the dyno and they subsiquently changed the name to Shred Motorsport to reflect Geoff being the sole owner. They have told everyone that will listen that 'previous management' made the build mistakes on my car. Trying to paint themselves as trying to help. I only ever dealt with Aaron & Geoff. It's always been Aaron & Geoff. They were solely responsible for the problems. This was ultimately proven in court.
  21. stunning car in a seriously rare colour for a ridiculous price. few cars could beat the similes per mile of these cars. good luck with the sale
  22. I have little sympathy for this business closing. I've had multiple people contact me about issues with them as well as another customers wanting to take them to court. The writing was on the wall. They needed to stop. I don't believe I ever updated the forum with the eventual outcome. At the 11th hour, ......Geoff paid the court order. He paid me out of his own pocket to go away. My lawyer was literally filing liquidation papers that afternoon. It was only a personal phone call, kind of apology & immediate deposit that saved them. Looking back I'm not sure how I could have done this better. I lost about $13k, 5 years trying to get them to fix their mistakes and nearly a year going through the court system. Not to mention the stress and many sleepless nights. I could have gone for the full amount and would have won, but legal fees were quoted at $12,800 meaning I was risking a further loss if they couldn't pay. It's been a journey. I hold no ill will towards Geoff. As the owner he should have taken more control especially when things started going wrong. He was manipulated by Aaron and couldn't see it or didn't have the spine to admit it and make the changes required to save his business. I just hope Aaron Lawson is tainted with this brush as it was without doubt all his fault that 2 engines were destroyed and their business in liquidation. Lessons learned: Document everything, get it in writing. Keep receipts. Don't be afraid to ask experts in the field, you might just make a new friend and learn some things. The court system can be daunting but there is a clear process, follow it, and make sure you have all your paperwork correct. Persevere. If you know you are right it will work out in the end.
  23. fantastic news Amber. Ray you legend.
  24. Geoff owned shred. Aaron Lawson was the idiot destroying it and everything else he touched.
