  1. Oh it's fitted now. Phil. It just rattles like a freakin train when idling after it's warmed up. Thanks for the advice Josh. I've ordered the redline products as per the UUC website. What's the difference of MT90 to the redline product? It def feels more alive alright. I might have to live with the rattle.
  2. this is like a train. I've ordered the redline products. Will get the oil changed as per the UUC doc and see how it goes. Can't hurt.
  3. don't you mean welcome back... just sold my racecar. & got rid of the rattles. on another note. the UUC clutchstop I bought from them they failed to mention is for only 3 series BMW's when I ordered. If anyone with a 3 series wants a adjustable clutchstop PM me. Also still no word from Rob about refunding me the overcharged amount so I have disputed the charge with my bank. I've supplied them the invoice with the correct amount.
  4. No. but im not surprised their website is terrible. I'll give that fluid recommendation a go tho!
  5. *pants im going to be the muppet reving the car to stop it rattling
  6. thanks Brent. anyone had any success in quieting this down?
  7. yes. all correct. Since the cops went to digital camera's in the van's they changed from Ka to K band for them. I have my V1 still set to block X & K band as i'd rather know that if it beeps I hit the middle pedal. False alarms help no-one. Besides. Most of the van's are easily spotted and don't come with demerits.
  8. well the parts did show up. Only took 18 days. Had it installed at BMW on friday. Stalled it in the BMW carpark trying to get out. Twice. Pedal is alot lighter than my last one and the bite point is very short. You really need to be easy & slow with the action. I'm getting used to it now. Plus: it's holding well, as you would expect. The lightened flywheel has really woken up the car. It rev's noticeably quicker. I like this. Con: there's a rattle. Once it's warm. On idle. Makes it sound like a diesel truck. I can stop it by giving it a rev or with a small push on the clutch. I've rung BMW and they have asked to bring it back in to see. It sounds mechanical. & it's def coming from the gearbox.
  9. how did you find the lightened flywheel opposed to the dual mass ? stunning car BTW. very tasteful.
  10. very cool pic. looks like the old fever hospital on my vic before the SPCA took it over.
  11. apparently it's in Auck. I've paid tax etc on it. Should be delivered in the next few days hopefully. Still no response from Rob in regards to the outstanding overcharged amount. It's been two days now. I've printed and filled out the transaction dispute forms. If he hasn't got back to me by this afternoon I'll logde them with VISA and he can explain to them his dodgie business practices.
  12. stay the hell away from Shred Motorsport. I wouldn't trust them with a toaster let alone a BMW. The only reason they are still in business is that mummy & daddy bailed them out and paid me to not liquidate them. You can find the "beware of Shred" thread on here somewhere. edit: here: http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/45226-a-heads-up-beware-of-shred/?hl=shred Aaron Lawson is a muppet. He is dangerous. "forgot"to properly bolt in the front suspension in my car. If it wasn't picked up he could have killed me. I wouldn't use STM unless you have a evo. Powerhaus is for Porsche's. I have heard good things about them but you only really see Porsche's there. Besides Geoff Gray BMW, Macbilt engineering in Grenada North would be the only people I would trust. Al's (alistar mclennon) straight up, old school. Has been there and done it. The calibre of the cars in his shop are a testament. I'm getting BMW to install my clutch, mostly because I'm a stickler for BMW servicing. If I was to mod anything I would take my car to Al.
  13. that's a bit rough mate. they prob can't be bothered or don't want to dispose of the rest. good luck.
  14. Hey Kyu, I don't have anything to cut or carry 8ft long exhausts. but if you can get powerhaus to chop them off I can pickup, package & post for you.
  15. Hahhahahahahahhahaa...............
  16. Twin plate clutch. Although I did date a twin once.
  17. yeah yeah. I like to think I 'quality' test products.
  18. yes I await his response & will post. Obviously i'm not aware if he has some complete mug doing his invoicing or he is doing it himself and trying it on. fair to say, at $2,750 I wouldn't have been buying his product no matter what the reviews. I did my research, spent hours over the xmas break pricing up all the options and at $2,180 it was the most expensive but the best quality item. If / when he comes back if he doesn't refund I will be disputing the charge through VISA and he can explain to them what happened.
  19. So I've had a partial refund from UUC. Looking at the invoices they have effectively increased the base price of the clutch and then re-added in the 15% SALE discount. I've sent Rob the company president a nice & polite email explaining that I bought their product in good faith and at certain price from their website. I have the invoice from them stating the price. It's illegal for them to then increase the price and charge my credit card again & simply send another invoice and call it a database error. there's over $1100 between what i bought & what they then charged me. There were plenty of other cheaper options that would have worked, UUC was the most expensive option, now turning out to be more than 60% more expensive than the nearest competitor product. Still no freakin idea where it is. Last parcel track had the label voided and sitting at UPS. FFS. not a happy camper.
  20. hehehehe... all his work. still known as Rimmer. I love Red Dwarf.
  21. Yeah your not wrong Phil. Still no idea where it is. I've been given that many tracking numbers none seem to indicate it's made it anywhere
  22. M5V8

    Xbone or PS4?

I'm loving Ghosts on my PS4. Epic matches. PS4 controller I find away better than PS3
  23. Thanks Matt. Torque isn't an issue with my motor so I am looking forward to having it rev alittle harder. Clamping force is a concern with the single plate unit which is why I've gone the route I have. I'll happily write up a review once I've done a few miles on it. Since I have owned & driven old & new factory units, single plate uprated aftermarket organic on standard dual mass flywheel & now have a dual plate on lightened single mass flywheel on its way.
  24. I was advised at my last clutch replacement that the flywheel was borderline, but still useable. That wouldn't be the case this time hence I'm looking for a complete package. I've driven twins before, so I wouldn't expect it to be worse than the quatermaster in my GTR that held 650 odd HP. As for the nut behind the steering wheel comment. Well. that's pretty much spot on. update: clutch still hasn't left the US from what I can tell. Still waiting on UUC to get the paperwork right and resend. Rob has promised to refund me the overcharge however I am yet to receive this (i know it does take the CC company several days). Ominous sign tho that he's resent another invoice with a higher price for the kit. Me thinks they are going on only partly refund.
  25. easy. they look out the windshield, think oh cr@p that's a power pole, continue to keep their eyes on it and they then steer towards it. moral of the story. Look where you want to go. Not where you don't.
