Christ. Hence why I originally got into motorsport & away from fast cars without harnesses, cages & helmets. it's only luck mind you I didn't end up in a similar shunt. Mate lost control at prob 120+ slid hit a curb. I was rear passenger, I remember the lampost coming at me very fast, then the car rotated and we slid past it. Hitting the curb blew out both tyres on my side and the rims dug into the grass and changed the rotational direction of the car. Just before he lost control I yelled, "too fast for this corner mate, brake, brake"..... hence i think I'm a pretty bad passenger also. Or is that good? Still, that M5 crash would have been a wild ride before the shunt. By the looks of the car the passengers would have dusted themselves off and had a good story for the pub that night. ps- I'm glad you tracked down your surgeon.

lol... could be the result of never being injured in an accident despite be involved in several including two roll-overs & a short motorsport career. (no i wasn't driving any any of the roll-overs). I'm sure I would feel differently after climbing out of a massive one. (touch wood).

Eddy's right. Shelly BMW was in Wakefield St. The bicycle shop was the used car dealership and the bowling ally the new and service centre. Entry was off Tory st. Next to what's a vehicle service centre now. My old man used to be a real BMW guy and purchased several through Tony. I remember going with Dad to pick them up. Shelly BMW was eventually bought out by Geoff Grey and moved to their current location on the old hutt road. My family purcahsed the Shelly family bach in Taupo in the early 90's when he purchased a large plot of land over Acacia bay way. He built a massive house over there overlooking lake and retired there after selling the dealership. He died not long after the main house was finished but I don't think he ever saw the property as a whole complete. Not sure what's become of it now. We still own his old place round Wharewaka way.

That is the NIWA research facility and there used to be a small car / boat wash thing there for staff. Last time I checked it was a few years ago now. not sure if it's still there or accessable.

looks like a great day. Some sweet rides there. hopefully someone can organise something like this for Wtgn members. although i fear there isn't a rolling road dyno available locally.

but we watch the V8's for the wheel to wheel racing and driver skill not the prangs! (i don't normally watch the V8's but loove the enduro's. Bathurst was epic. stoked someone other than Wincup won.)

They were recommended and sourced by shred. Why don't you ask them.

Narr unless they pay the amount in full we will be liquidating the company. That would be pretty stupid of them. I'm sure they have more than $15k invested in branding alone. What they haven't realised is the damange dragging this out is doing to their reputation. They are pretty much a joke now.

Just left court from the rehearing. Shred's application for a rehearing has been turned down on all counts. The application didn't have a leg to stand on, it was pretty obvious. In this instance the legal system has worked, if slowly. But most of that is due to Shred's failure to show up to the hearings, like again today. This is the end. They have no further avenues for regress. The order from July16th stands. Enforcement will be swift from here. My lawyer will have the relevant documents later today. They have to pay up.
