    Quick Questions

(had a chat to the sis in law last night to see how it was possible. Apparently repeated button bashing due to not liking any of the playing tracks did the job. well done girls.)

anyone got a fix for the sister in law? the ladies took my M5 to the batch on the wknd. I don't know how but they f**ked up my DICE ipod link. I have no idea how they did it. Been workin sweet for years. the one time I let them loose in my car... Took me ages to get it going again.
  4. I know.If it was only black on black I don't think I would be able to stop myself. As it was I did show that one to the wife. Her answer was "really? blue?" (she has a black car also)

    decatting the M5

I decided against it when weighing up having to re-program the ECU to run without. I don't have any cat issues currently but started sounding too much hassle for what was just a few extra hp gains.Might reconsider if I ever get her upto auckland for a ecu re-tune. (if that ever happens) let me know how you get on tho
  10. there was a blue 840ci with CSI bodykit on there recently. you would have to suffer through the matching blue interior tho. blacks where it's at.
  11. scanner tool def will help. Sounds like it's just not firing.... no spark, low or no fuel pressure but yeah, basic's time. Fuel , spark...... start with the easy stuff ...
  12. you legend Richard. 02 sensor failure wouldn't cause your issues as described. Complete failure of the 02 sensor system puts the car into limp mode. If the 02 sensor was reading wrong it could make the car run badly. You really need to clear the codes, charge the battery, take for a drive until it does it again & then check the codes that came up. depending on when you last cleared the codes they could have been in there for ages! If 02 comes up again, check which bank. Swap the sensors clear the codes and go again. if the opp code then comes up you have confirmed the issue. diagnosing issues like this it pays to have your own scanner, or at least access to one. it will save you $ in the long run.

  14. he he he.... as far as scans go, any BMW dealer can do for around $60 last time i checked. or find someone with a scanner local to you. where abouts are you?
  15. Yeah cheers Jason. I've only just got started with this campaign ruling on their re-hearing request due this wk. the 3 layer metal gasket they specified and installed didn't allow for 'squish' when torquing the head down (ie - it was 1 size too big).this forced the edge of the gasket to lip over the top into the cylinder. When running this heated up and started detonating in the cylinder. Once the gasket broke down water started pushing from the water jacket in the block into the cylinders and it all went downhill from there. It would be interesting to see how they lodged the claim with their insurance company. Initially they told me it must have been a manufacturing fault with the gasket, until they eventually admitted they didn't spec the size right. Can you claim for incompetence?

  17. it was my understanding that if they are a direct bolt on kit made for your car,and are tagged with the correct certification they are fine wof time. I think those are good. look up Certified ISO TS16949:200 i believe that is the NZ standard.
  18. epic. sell me your car
  19. Awesome wheels Tristan. Congrats. did you specifically pick the manual? I'd dunno, I think these new flappy paddle jobs are pretty good now. I'd be leaning that way. +1 more pics please. Interior!
  20. couldn't resist.... time around the Nürburgring please? and do you know how much faster this would be from an 'standard' model?
  21. they are standard so if you ask for / find an H7 that's what you get. There are better manufacturers tho, I think repco does phillips? they are good. I also picked up some from supercheap.
