yes, yes I have heard of the 'challenges' of auck. traffic we will be buying if we are able to sell our place in wtgn. there's alot still up in the air, as it depends on when our place sells and for how much. all we know is it's on. we are moving. so lookout auckland! good news is I will finally be able to get the M5 up there for a retune to get some more ooph! (one bonus - that and being closer to racetracks)

so we found out last wk, we are being moved to auck for work. i've never lived in auck, actually never spent much time there besides the international terminal at the airport. but will need to learn, buy & live in auck before june next year. the question is. where's good to buy / live in auck? we will be working in the newmarket / penrose area.

I'd like to see the 4km tolerance enforced both ways. IE - 100km limit > you must always drive between 96 - 104 km per hour that would get everyone concentrating on their speed by staring at that tiny little needle in front of them! - isn't that the point of this ?

last xmas I got fined for 6k over the limit pulling out of my mates place and heading down the hill. freakin ridiculous. if the police want to sour their goodwill with the public than this nitpicking fines are the way to go. go solve real crime. with the state of our roads, the population growth & age of our cars the road toll has been improving. if you want to see a drop in crashes fix the roads properly. fix the licencing system so people know how to behave on the open road. give us overtaking lanes so we can get past. rather than closing them off & dropping the speed limit. i've seen more near misses recently due to moron's whom drive on the open road like they are looking for a carpark at the cinema. rant.over.

yeah i heard it was very hit & miss. My mate has his original Xbox purchased on release. Never a problem. Mine, 2 years after release had RROD 4 times before i beat it with a bat. I read that there was a higher likeliness of the PS4 issues with the pre-release units. Which are the ones that were sent to reviewers. Firmware is always fixable. Stupidity of design like using a metal X to attach heat sinks to a motherboard is not.

They have reported .1%. this is all high end tech. add to that selling 1 million units in 1 day. there's always going to be some issues. reports have Sony replacing units as quick as they can. that's more than I can say for Microsoft. New unit. RROD. 4 weeks MIA for 'repair' that lasted only until the warranty ran out. No thanks. Not again.
