factory runs 5.25 so these shouldn't be an issue nor any aftermarket tweeters however for good sound improvement I would recommend going larger.There's plenty of room in e39 doors for 6.5s.

I have just changed the front springs to lower the front as my rear is self leveling. Standard shocks. What you will find is that even older shocks if they are in reasonable condition will actually perform alittle better due to the deduced stroke from the shorter springs. Get the springs and a good wheel alignment. Take it for a test drive you might get away without changing the shocks.

zimmermann supply BMW all the OEM fitted disc's. They also make slotted versions of the same rotor's. If you wanted just to upgrade the disc's? I imported a slotted set (front only) for the M5. Around $1500 if I remember rightly.

bring back the V6 turbo's I say. in order of sound goodness: 1). v12 2). v6 turbo 3). v10 4). v8 Ant nothing like a full grid of angry F1 v10's a full noise.

you already know my opinion on performance tyres jas. Goodyear asymmetrical or Bridgestone Adrenalin's both brilliant. I don't like to comment on anything I haven't tested personally. The Adrenalin's had plenty of grip down Cobham Drive didn't they?

I'd mock up a box and see how it sounds. Your original issue was the sound quality. This design is a compromise on sound quality for space. I'm not saying it can't work, but you will need to be happy with the sound.

Since you have changed the position of the sub as well as the box you will need to re-tune. Only if the box was identical in shape / volume / design would the settings still be right. I'd be sticking the ports in and running through a re-tune. Also... has the box build changed? ie- thickness of the wall material / interior material?

I take it you have already tried playing with your x-over & gain controls on your amp? (sorry if im stating the obvious). Enclosure selection is as important as speaker selection with subs. There are programs available online that with your sub spec you can work out the perfect enclosure size as well as port size/length to maximum the sub performance. It could be that your old box was better suited to the sub than your new one. + those "ports" require some tubing to work properly. You can "tune" the sound through port size/length also. my 2c

usual is they will send you a cheque for more than the amount due. You need to use the extra to pay "shipping" or some other BS expense.they hope you will make the payment before you realise the cheque is fake. But there are variations we see alot too. stolen CC details, stolen money transfered from the victim to you to western union to them (so you become the mule account).

I even got one to send me a bank cheque issued from the same bank I work at, he even mailed it to my work the idiot. At least he wasted his own coin on postage.
