  1. 1UZFE It's substantially lighter than my M50B25, I'm having to replace the front springs because now with the alloy V8 the front has less sprung weight and it sits 3" higher! I went for a 1st generation 1993 Motor, as at some stage I will look at going FI, so the VVTi was not that good an option. If your going to stay NA, they are ideal - although I have heard the quality went down with some of the newer ones vs the other ones.

  3. Finally got around to dropping the 1UZFE V8 into my BMW today. Fits nicely. Now time to make it all work.........
  4. I'm for it. One of my silly friends a few years ago, would have been 18 at the time was somewhat drunk in his large 4x4 by himself, driving at night, plowed through a red light and into the front fender of a car travelling across the intersection. What a fool. Drinking + Driving shouldn't not be mixed, theres just too much grey area, at least it's a start for under 20s
  5. That must have cost you a fortunate...
  6. Right, so I was looking around for an online parts database similar to that of RealOEM except* for Mercedes-Benz.... Does anyone know of such an online resource? I've searched but only come to dead ends. Cheers

If it's your daily it doesn't make sense to thrash it on the skid pan.... reserve that for a track hack. Just my opinion.
  8. Too true. I guess I will have to be particularly careful when I re-insure my car once all the conversion work is done and certified.
  9. Go for an M50B25. Best conversion for the money, sound and power gained.
  10. Hmmmmmmm He should have just spent money on the engine!
  11. Little too ostentatious for my taste.
  12. HAHAHA. Sorry, I just found that extremely funny.
  13. Looks like a well cared for older slighly higher km example.. Yet, I would say you will be in for replacing nearly all of the suspension links and mounts if you're to enjoy it properly. I'd put about $3,000 away to do that. Just depends if it's worth it to you or not. I just have a thing about driving older cars with worn suspension.
  14. E46 M3 > 1 Series Toy.
  15. It's a great season. Much improved from Series 16 which was a bit of a let down, even series 15 wasn't too flash but this is really enjoyable. Also, Karl - I am pretty sure in many cases they just mix the lap races with all the best clips they get, they aren't always in consecutive order or from the same 'lap'... the beauty of editing I guess.
  16. It's unfortunate how high insurance is in the UK.
  17. Wow, snow. I could only survive down there there if I had a Landcruiser.
  18. How much Brent? I dont need the blade holder part, got replacement ones.
