  1. BMW M5 E39 in red (http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=Awsum5) Being fueled up with 91 petrol.... as far as I could see and I'm pretty sure it had audible engine knocking / timing retardation on start up and accelerating out of the gas station.
  2. Most European cars are also boring. X1, rubbish, Q5, rubbish, dull as an CR-V or RAV4. All manufactures have a few good cars here and there, but the majority are there to make sales like the above.
  3. Interesting. Is there no button for that option? While on that topic, why is the edited message orange banner so massive and ugly? Seems unnecessary. I tend to delete my posts and repost if I make a simple typo. As below.........
  4. People that say Japanese cars are boring and don't have soul.

    E34 540i msports?

Do you mean the EDC shocks?

    E34 540i msports?

I dunno, a good 540i E39 is pretty quick off the line, despite the gearing good for 0-100kph in a little over 6 seconds which is shifting pretty well! As quick as your average 330i E46. My Soarer is a heavy hector by comparison, with me and some fuel inside I'm sitting at 1850kg, but the active suspension while adding to the weight makes up for the short falls in the bends at least
  7. Wet weather tail gaters. They should loose their licence for such insane driving!
  8. I am exempt from such childs play.

The cars are far more interesting regardless!

    E34 540i msports?

That is fairly good for such a sized car. Not to shabby all things considered. You do need the V8 torque to get it moving off the line though.
  12. Drove it and got 7.5km / L New record!
  13. I saw this listed a while ago. Seems like a good buy then, yet still for sale. ... Maybe it didn't sell last time & was taken off the market for a time? Hmmm

    1991 E31 850i

Kinda not surprising they never made it. Would have been expensive! Flip up headlight delete, ricey bonnet and side vents don't really suit an E31 imo too. Motor looks well worked though, must be the DOHC type V12?
  16. Quite well priced all things considered. Having the link ecu and manual box does greatly improve the overall appeal so it definitely adds to its value. Whether or not the buyers in the market think so, is another matter. GL!
  17. Sounds so sweet. Looks bloody quick too!
  18. Can one report that car as 'unsafe' to any authorities?
  19. Those Prados are awful. They are as undesirable as Rav4s to my mind. Very much a spare parts car built off the Surf and Landcruiser bits, yet no where near as good as either. I think theres a very good reason why they are so cheap on the used market compared to a proper 80 or 100 series landcruiser.

    'THE' M3...

Loosing money in such a way is never ideal but unfortunately these things do happen. Surely the car can be taken elsewhere for a cheaper quote.... ? At the end of the day Amber, don't take life so seriously, it's not like you come out alive. There is always a solution!
  21. How can the unit just be faulty and need a full replacement? That just seems absurd? Surely only a few parts fail? Or are these 2000+ BMW electrics only made up of ICs and once they get any kind of fault they're destined for the landfill?

  23. I just noticed this at a pump in the North Shore today. Didn't realise it was available other than at Hampton Downs. Having read up about it there seems to be so much conflicting information on what cars it works with and doesn't due to the age of cars and these so called 'flexi-fuel' cars. Some say it will eat 'regular' cars rubber fuel lines and seals, even lead to bad oiling etc but then others say it doesn't and brings many benefits despite increased consumption. Same with the way cars are tuned, I gather its 110 octane? Clearly most NA cars wouldnt see the advantages of this unless having a higher than normal compression. Curious to know who uses this fuel and for what applications?
