Ours got written off at 215k from memory with one $900 repair and servicing. That’s Nz new with a history, I’d take a punt if you could chip him. id say an m50 b25 wouldn’t be that far off a 3.5 and would be way more efficient.

What about a 730i/740i V8? We had one years ago that was as reliable as a Swiss watch and economical for what it was, I’d wager better than the old 6.

Could you get the e36 cable out at Pickapart? I had a 540i battery in my e30 that was an easy fit.

Well there's a full set of the e30 audio gear including tweeters just popped up in For Sale...... Why play around with tapes when you could download onto a dedicated ipod (or whatever)? I have stockpiled a few Alpine amps from the late 80s/early 90s for a play at some stage. They are cheapish, reliable and er, period correct? I have 4/5/6 channel amps. What about the underseat flat subs if you're chasing bass fill, not doof doof?

Is there a simple way of upgrading the Bluetooth on the above? Couldn’t connect an iphone7 to it, showed on the phone, but couldn’t connect. It was connected to other phones, so worked, but not with this. And if there is a simple fix, can you add BT audio as well?

There was an e36 328i touring with tow bar for sale for ages in Taranaki, $3750ono. Seems to have disappeared off both FB and TM, so might be too late.

I like the price on the 325i convertible bottom left of the page.

You might get lucky, there was a touring with leather seats at Pickapart last year. Sat there for ages.

Hi Will, yes, still have it and wouldn't have the heart to change it. You have a black V8? I have an E36 touring for messing around with....

I don't think it will be going anywhere. They all seem to have rough seats/dash/etc, but there are a couple of ok looking ones for $6k or so on TM.

So I should keep hold of my Nz new Mtech 1 manual 325i? i priced up replicating an M325i a couple of years ago after driving my old one (that my dad has) and couldn’t see any change from $25k to do it right.
