I think our neighbours had that when it was new. Sounded epic.

Doesn’t have to be faster, just reliable. I’ve heard enough stories plus increasing age makes me think n55 would be a better option. I think yours might be overkill for our use. I do like the zf8 too. What’s ewg?

So nobody? Back to trawling Google I guess.

2010 116i = e87? No turbo?
-
Is anyone running an E82/F20 model of the above? If an E82, later model with the N55 and DCT. Had one, running one now, thoughts/comments/good/ bad/ reliable/ not? Cheers.

Is that from the Restauto place on FB/eBay?
-
Yeah, if they have what you need, it’s very satisfying. Got quoted $600 to repaint the bonnet in the wife’s Mazda and picked up one there for $70 in the correct colour.
-
On closer inspection the bonnet and front panel appear to be different shades, so possibly.

https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/m235i/listing/4906169780 Jap import.

They’re out there. It replaced a Hapro I bought for $150 with a crack in it. “Welded” the crack with ski base repairer which worked a treat, gave it 2 coats of gloss black paint and later sold it for $380 in a dollar reserve auction disclosing it had been repaired.

Keep an eye on TM and FB, there’s the occasional bargain. I got an original, unused BMW box for $150.

There’s a black one at Pickapart Takanini if you need any bits. Petrol though.

Good to hear, the ad sounded like it had some promise.

If you can find a decent diesel, I’d by far recommend that over the M54 in an X5. Theres a (350km) one for $4650 on FB and a 240km one for an optimistic $7k as well.

Your link doesn’t work (for me at least), but had a look. There was a red one for sale fairly recently, less money too. Uk import from memory. Would be fun.

Fitting and balancing is included. Filled with nitrogen. Last time I was there ps5(?)s were about $270/tyre for 215/45/17 and re003 were $288. For the X5 fronts, they were $142/tyre cheaper than I could find elsewhere for ps4 suv.

From what I’ve seen, the margin from wholesaler cost to retail is 3-400%.

$1,000 battery. Inflation has really hit hard. -

For that car, assuming it’s solid, I think that’s a decent price. Way better than a 318i auto. -

Would it look better value at $17.5k? -

That actually looks like decent value. Crying out for a set of basket weaves though imo. -
A transfer case service is cheap insurance.

35d will be an import, 40d should/could be Nz new. 30d’s go just fine, even loaded and have one less turbo to worry about.. Sun roofs leak through blocked drains and possibly seals. Air springs (will be there in 7 seater I’m sure) fail, taking the compressor with them if you’re not on top of it. Front control arm bushes go. Brakes and tyres can be $$$, unless you’re handy or savvy when buying. Runflats can make the ride comical in sport on a typically bad Nz road. Standard tyres are way nicer, but you won’t have a spare option in a 7 seater. Service regularly and don’t forget the transfer case. Buy on overall condition and service history rather than a strict ks cut off. I wouldn’t buy an import, but that’s just me. Good luck with the search.

Particularly the price of wheel speed sensors and spark plugs compared with Spareto… -
There's some in Hamilton on FB. Knock them down on price for the missing trim piece, should still be available anyway. Or some in Chch, missing the bolts, also available.
