I've had a good friend do this and beyond, you'll need a reasonable level of fitness and some size.
-
Yeah, come to think of it, I may have seen a guy at Hutt years ago. It does look cool.

I would have thought you'd have far more need for ankle movement telemarking than in a conventional ski boot. I can't remember ever seeing anyone in NZ actually telemarking.
-
Shouldn't it be attached to a chain and some rope at the front end?

Txted and pmed you last week. Battery, bonnet, rear lights and dash. PM me if you can.

Transit cameras show no unusual congestion at all. Updated every minute, just the usual Spag Junction clog.

Saw a really nice Black E30 M325 2 door coupe yesterday at BP Botany with gold basket weaves - really tidy car. ^^ Sounds like that guy David who owned the mint 325i 4 dr manual, was/is a BM car club member.

Hmmn, thought I replied to this earlier. Battery will be the problem, was a 5 series V8 equivalent battery, but has been left too long too often. Didn't follow my own advice as the mrs pointed out. Hopefully, this will mean the alarm problem goes away as well. Was quite disheartening to see the build up of dust and dirt after 6-8 months, especially as there is a full car cover in the boot.

About 6-8 months ago, I parked up the convertible with a fully charged battery and the terminals disconnected. After seeing the E30 M3 Cab for sale, thought I'd get it out and drive it, so I headed up with jumper leads and the alarm remote (with 6-8 month old battery). Problem 1) The battery is completely flat, won't turn over with the jump cables connected. Try charging it separately? Problem 2) When I connected the positive terminal to the charged car, a large set of sparks came off, much more than the usual quick flash, then the jumper cables over heated extremely quickly (10 sec to smoking) until I ripped them off. I have used these cables before for up to 10-15min without this sort of over heating. Problem? Problem 3) The alarm remote wouldn't turn off the alarm, which goes off instantly the second terminal is connected to the battery (guess there is some charge!). Last time, I simply pushed the button and it stopped. Problem 4) The first charged cars battery isn't super strong and when I connected the convertible, it stalled that car dead. How do I get around this mess? Thought about disconnecting the alarm, but don't know where to start, there are various miscellaneous wires attached to both battery terminals. Any ideas?

At that price and a lotto win, I'd have it. Sadly one component is missing.

A friend of mine had a black manual one some years back. English import, which I think most of the ones here are.

Along this line, if you build a PFL motor (higher compression according to manual), will it run on a FL computer?
-
Pretty sure they were standard weaves, whole car looked like it was previously unmolested.

You'll need a flat bed and a winch.
-
If they were there, I might have. Right side gone and wheels smashed. Maybe they're lying around the viaduct there somewhere.
-
Ahh. Had the cops there when I went past.

Who was the poor bugger with the grey Tech1 on the Southern just past Newmarket (St Marks on ramp)? Looked like it had been hit and smacked a kerb? Two smashed weaves and some panel damage. Bummer. About 9.45 this morning.

I think I've seen a one off E34 convertible photo before somewhere. . . . . I don't think a B16A would move an E34 shell either.

How about $16,500 including the warranty? Whoops. I meant $15,500.

I'll check with him and get back to you, sure he'd be keen too.

No, but I think I've heard that name. Lives in Mt Eden/Balmoral. Hasn't driven it for ages, wants an LSD=$$$! Loves his Pugs.
-
I should put you in touch with my friend. He has a 205 with race prepped motor, big webers, cam etc. Parked up in the garage because it keeps eating diffs.
-
I'd chip the private seller on his price and buy that. 50,000kms is at least 2-3 years driving for most people.

Sounds like the stolen ones out of my legacy!

I was quoted $600 for paint for a E30 bonnet, didn't do it, must shop around. $5k for a respray too, that also stopped it dead.
