  6. If he's doing this now what will he achieve later in life. Just shows that age isn't necessary a barrier to vision. Some might say brought up with a silver spoon , others might say he has is entrepreneurial. Come to think of it most of the people that I know that have built up serious money left school early but had a vision of want they wanted to achieve and do this early in there careers. v10 z3m would be a great way to enjoy some of the efforts.

  10. The cliffhanger motorcycle hillclimb has a road closed for a couple of days a year (as does a cycling event). The Carterton Mayor supported the event with minimal charges and even goes to the extent of providing a large gen set for the pit area for free. He even went to the point of leading the sighting run on a couple of ocasions and would also turn up for the fundrasing 1/4 and flying 1/4 Sprints. Nothing anywhere near $30k for the closures. There is a car hillclimb that is also run on a near by road. Similar deal for the car event which I'm hoping to compete in next year.
  11. Makes you wonder on the lost trade for the township of Ohakune in the ski off season. I take it the picnickers aren’t involved or don’t care about many of the Town’s business reliance of the visitor trade. Compare this to the Wiararapa which has no motorsport facilities yet has a very active motorsport Calendar. The Councils and Mayor’s are very support of any event that brings visitors & $$$ into the region and don’t mind roads to be closed to do so. Just another reason not to visit Ohakune. The've cancelled 10% of the years event calendar in one swoop. http://www.ohakune.info/whyohakune/events-news.php

Brought a netbook with 700 odd cd's to replace the cd stacker running via de Ibus adaptor controlled via the 16:9 screen. The netbook also has a usb bluray player cd/dvd/bluray duties should they be needed. Also want to add reverse cam and parrot bluetooth to replace jap telephone module at a later date.
  14. Had an issue running acs type I's 16x8 et 35's with 225/55/16's on the rear of my old E36 325i Coupe. Rear arches were rolled. Had problems with Uniroyals rubbing on the odd occasion , but bridgestones seemed ok. Was also running BMW standard M suspension setting which meant tyres lasted well. Fonts never caused any problems.

    Leather

Another way to clean is to use shaving foam. I did this with my motorcycle leathers after 15,000 km of South American dirt roads on a motorcyle on the advice of a lady that makes motorcycle leathers. Leathers came up looking near new (black / yellow / white) . Shaving foam with lanolin is also great for older leather as it cleans and moisturizes the leather. For exterme dirt / last resort try oven cleaner. Just don't leave it to act for too long. I have seen this do wonders on 50 year old plus leather and vynil car seats removing the most stuborne stains and dirt. Same with hydrogen proxoide used on old white plastics .... They go from yellow to white again. A few things I've learnt while restoring 1960's minis.
  18. Sounds exactly like the problem. Most battery's around 600 cca + are close to bonnet in terms of terminals due to size. Had a similar problem on my e30 when fitting the largest battery possible (680 cca)to run the stereo / car (before optima batteries where around). Best you can do is get a battery terminal cover for the plus side and duck tape the inside of bonnet above the plus terminal. If it was shorting out the ecu and onboard diagas. will go mental going between 13.8 volts and 0. Also make sure that the battery is strapped / clamped down properly so the battery isn't moving around.
  19. hope the occupants were OK !
  20. Marmite has it's roots tracked back to using the yeast from beer. Beer is good !

  22. Just got a set of these for the road, possibly the best street tyre short of semi-slicks ,/ type R's . 3pedals used to bag bridgestones a few years back, but he eventally saw the light http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/chartD...ay.jsp?ttid=118
