Michael. 2313 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 (edited) New rear exhaust, with temporary tips... Ill probably leave them for a while. But yeah its extremely loud with the bypass valves open, while very quiet with them closed. One crazy setup. image url Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=577i6DhOCeU Edited March 21, 2014 by Michael.

Lucan 196 Report post Posted March 22, 2014 E39: Waited 1 hour for my new tyres to be fitted, eventually to be told they forgot to order them in, got a $180 discount and going back Monday instead. Also replaced steering rack boots, attempted to replace sway bar rubbers to find I have larger diameter sway bar...so gave up and gave it a clean. Anyone after some E39 22.5mm sway bar bushings - $40 for both

kingkarl 136 Report post Posted March 23, 2014 I pulled up behind you on Saturday afternoon on Onewa road onramp in a friend's car. I recognized your massive resonator straight away and told the lads about your v8 swap. We were not dissapointed when you launched it through first and second haha. You have got that thing sounding lethal!

kingkarl 136 Report post Posted March 23, 2014 Oh haha, were you in the Honda Intergra? It sure goes rather ballistic, did it sound quite loud from your perspective? That was us. Yeah mate it was crazy loud. The integra is noisey as hell but we had no problem hearing yours over it. I was well impressed.
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted March 23, 2014 Sweet as, cheers for the comments Karl! Inside the car while not droney or anything it's just too loud, I feel like a bit of a twat when giving it a boot full! So I'm gonna give installing an H pipe balancer pipe a go sometime this week, see if that helps to balance the banks and take the noise down a bit. The v8 vantages have a small 1" dia H pipe so maybe I should be running one with my setup too.
