Michael. 2313 Report post Posted June 22, 2014 (edited) Brain wave! Shall keep E36 V8 conversion kit and in a year or so time make a 4.3 VVTi 3UZ + W58 5 speed manual track car with a cheap and cheerful E36 Ti hatch back + Cage. Shelved idea for now though, but good to keep options open This kinda thing: Pulled the main conversion parts off the now removed engine. Quite awesome to see how well everything has gone over the last 2 years and 20,000kms of fun driving, especially the beefy headers. Just goes to show mild steel with a thick wall and a good coating is the key! Edited June 23, 2014 by Michael.

sonic_attack 89 Report post Posted June 25, 2014 Found a pretty tidy e34 leather interior for practically pocket change, and picked up a 370mm Mtech 2 steering wheel score on TM, slightly more than pocket change but nowhere near what I was humming and harring over on ebay. jeffbebe 1559 Report post Posted June 27, 2014 Replaced a dozen dash and centre console bulbs... I can see where things are at night! The air con fan and temp dials are still out though but can only see one bulb - which I've replaced. Presuming the light 'tunnels' to each dial are blocked... Or they were never lit. Any E31 owners able to enlighten me? Pardon the pun.
sonic_attack 89 Report post Posted June 28, 2014 Nice fit, should have been released with these Mtech2 wheels as standard. Beats grandads old Ford D-Series tractor steering wheel that was in it.
sonic_attack 89 Report post Posted June 28, 2014 One e34 with two e34 interiors..

sonic_attack 89 Report post Posted June 28, 2014 Some were:blink: Lucky! Bloody rigmarole involved in finding a 370mm one of these in reasonable nick with the right everything to bolt straight on takes a bit of patience (or deep pockets!). I have an intermittent horn though? doesn't work when the wheel is at 12 O'clock but once you swing past 70-90 degrees it's blasting on all 3 corners. I've pulled it apart (twice) cleaned and greased, Must be the earth, there's not much connection with the brown wire, just a bent bit of brass plugging a hole in the cast base of the steering wheel. Unless I'm missing something from mine? Airbag light too of course. :-/

Michael. 2313 Report post Posted June 28, 2014 You don't mess around, do you Mike?! Hehe nope. Far too exciting. I have an idea with how it shall look with an alloy black diffuser that integrates to the stock bumper, something like this. Now I need to find the right tips, oh wait I just sold them to you haha Might be using x4 335i tips, they're quite cool. Just need to find two more
jeffbebe 1559 Report post Posted June 28, 2014 Looks good. You can have the tips back... I doubt I'll get round to using them for some time since the RS4 kit didn't fit. If I wind up getting that Ferrari setup it has tips anyway!
