I do lots of stuff. If its geeky .. I'm usually pretty handy at it. Im one of 'those' ideas people so im always asking the question "I wonder if I can do this...." usually finds me down some interesting paths.

My profession isnt really of any use to people, more to my company.

Need to talk to you about oil cooler line routing at some stage.

Ha very much the same but come to the point where my oiler cooler lines are now not going to route correctly and need your guidance as you have the same engine with I believe an aftermarket cooler?

You could fund me a type rating for a Herc, and buy one of them. Then you can take the car on the plane :)

CTC? I have to ferry a Diesel DA42 across from Australia in July - not looking forward to spending 9 hours over the Tasman in winter. Had an engine stop on you yet?

IT & AV network install tech, plus 15 years as a qualified mason. Can still be persuaded to come out of retirement with the right motivation ;)

Also nearing completion of my apprenticeship as a grumpy bastard, more than willing to share my skills

Yup, exactly. Nope haven't had an engine stop, apart from the practice shutdowns we do, but it flys pretty well Asymmetric anyway. The rudder trim is awesome.

I wouldn't mind crossing the Tasman in a twin, it was flying across the Cook Straight in the 172 that had everyone a bit nervous.

Well on this track then

In Welly, I have an engine hoist, and a car trailer, and a few other random tools I have no idea how to use...

Happy to help out BS members where I can

Since I started this topic I should probably say what I do.

I work as a consultant to museums and art galleries to help them evaluate exhibitions and understand why visitors go and more importantly, why they don't go.... So, as you can see, probably not much use to anyone here.

However, show me how to do anything once and I'll be able to replicate it badly many times afterwards.

I know life insurances rather well (over 10 years in the industry as an insurer and as a broker, so I know both sides of the story), in particular I specialise in staff insurance packages

I'm also very handy with putting together pc's, so if anyone is looking to buy a pc and doesn't want the generic store bought stuff, or wants to put a new harddrive / RAM / video card in then hit me up

also a keen cigar smoker and whisky drinker lol

Another one here with his head in the clouds.

PPL flight test is coming up in the next few weeks. Almost up to 100 hours (Massey does it all funny) and then CPL next year.
