So when these cars are sorted, you'll do the odd bit of chauffeuring? :P

If I ever get a L7 most definitely. :D

Replaced the old 4 spoke wheel with the M Sport 3 spoke. Much nicer.

Will the airbag still work?

Yes, plug n play. Both 750 and 728i are Dual stage airbags. I need to find a Single stage for the 740i.

Pre 2/99 build date are single stage airbags and 4/99 up are dual stage. If the build month of your car is 3/99 then there's a chance you could have either model and a visual inspection is needed to be sure what you have.

Started on the wheels today.

Took a couple of hours but the first one is stripped of paint.

What paint are you using - not sure if it's a trick of the light but it looks like you have a shadow chrome effect like the original finish. Nice work - will really set the car off. Love these wheels! To answer breakers question - worth what someone would pay. 750 for four good wheels maybe.

I'm using PlastiKote Chrome bumper paint and I'm going to put a hard drying crystal clear enamel over the top. I'm happy with the result and it's about as close to the original finish as I could get. I'm looking forward to getting it on the car and seeing what it'll look like. :)

I saw a nice staggered set of these advertised recently for $1000 and sold. Considering these came with 4 new tires I'm counting myself lucky.

Got the clear corner lights out of the donor car and giving them a clean up. Reverse lights seem to fade.

Polished one on the right.

Nice - polished by hand or with a wheel? I need to fix my indicators too.

Polished by hand. Couple of minutes each side and it was done.

Have them all on the car now. Much improved from the colored lenses.

Before.
