So when we bought the E91 the PO had removed the 325i badge and left horrible scratch marks everywhere.

I had no choice but to get the guys @ OCD to sort it out.

Looks like the base paint was pretty good though, can turn into a big job when you need to polish a small area but it turns out the rest of the car has noticeably sh*t paint afterwards...

Sam @ OCD told me he had to cut the **** out of it and there are still a few little dimples but they are not visible unless you're REALLY looking for it.

I use a credit card or eftpos card or drivers license card to debadge the car along with some wd40, so that it doesn't damage the paint.

Looks like the previous owner used his keys and did it with his eyes shut.

Dental floss works well, the waxy sh*t on it makes it not stick/scratch.

With Ash on the dental floss method then some white spirits to remove any residue finally a cut and polish to the area were the badge was.

just did this on a friends car with a heatgun, acidic disolving solution, dental floss and a microfibre rag. all good no marks

Or just a hair dryer + dental floss if you don't have heat gun.

Nice wee clip on the pros doing it, seems fishing line does it as well. Keeps it well away from the paint though. That clay bar wheel sorts the rest

The rear badge on my E36 328 coupe when I first got it was on the wrong side of the boot lid & the muppet used superglue!!!

the clay bar wheel in the video is 3M Adhesive Eraser Wheel. Many different sizes available. Dental Floss will snap; fishng line won't.
