5 pointsMe too. If I had the cash I'd buy it in a heartbeat and swap the best bits from mine... Then use the leftovers to build something outrageous:

4 pointsTime for a thread close, the owner has obviously done their homework and is happy with his purchase as a result. Start a project thread if you're keen to show and track the progress of change.

3 pointsI think you paid way to much for this IMO, Considering it's not a non Msport and automatic. You can get well optioned SA built e30's in RHD e30's with motorsport kits for half the price.

2 pointsAnyone on facebook seen this car? Spotted it on "South Island Euro Buy/Sell/Swap/Parts Etc" For $5,500 seems cheap if it's just the clutch that needs done? I was tempted but luckily I'm out of money haha.

2 pointsI feel like there should be a pinned post somewhere, top 10 BMW you want to buy but shouldn't.

2 pointsThis has been for sale before. It has been adapted for disabled drivers (notice the big control next to the steering wheel). If I had $12K I'd buy it!

1 pointI’m wanting to change the springs/shocks on my ’91 E30 325i Convertible. A PO has fitted aftermarket springs that have lowered the car ~45mm (currently 310mm front, 320mm rear – height from centre of wheel to top or arch). It is still on standard Sachs shocks, so needless to say the ride is terrible. I have become very diligent at avoiding minor road imperfections to avoid hitting the bump stops constantly. I don’t want to go back to stock springs and have the massive stock fender gap at the front. It’s my daily driver and won’t see any track use. I don’t mind/like firm suspension, I just want to avoid having an overly jarring ride/hit bump stops regularly. I’m currently thinking about one of two options: Option 1: M Technic spring set (apparently still available according to Pelican Parts) and Bilstein HD (B6) shocks, with 3mm spring seat at front and 5mm at rear. (Lowering height over stock anyone? I read in US forums anything between nothing and 15mm) Option 2: H&R sport springs and Bilstein Sport (B8) shocks, with 9mm spring seat at front and 10mm spring seat at rear (I’m only specifying these as I don’t want to go too low). (H&R springs lowering apparently 1.4” at front .75” at rear) (Both of the above options are with the convertible specific springs to carry extra weight at rear) My question is, does anyone happen to run a similar setup on their E30 and how do they find this on NZ roads (subjective I know), or any other suggested setups? Also if anyone runs either kit, how much did they find it actually lowered the car?

1 point"A little paint fade, original" Err, its been repainted. The factory colour is black. Seems odd that a one lady owner decides that she wants a colour change. Also, Mtechs arent just cosmetic, there is the LSD and the suspension.

1 pointthe masses? The masses shy away from exotic old bmw like the plague!

1 pointKeep going on it. Even if it's a small amount at a time. Bit of motivation, this coupe is almost completed. Always wanted to show Authur my dream.

1 pointWhy didn't any of you buy James' for $7.5k??? Low kms are pretty meaningless on an almost 25 year old car. The m70's pretty bulletproof and the stuff that adds up on the 8er are all the electrical and plastic/rubber bits (bushings, plugs, just about everything) that are unique to the 8 or worse, NLA. And those will have begun to perish regardless of kms. Love 8s but there's no such thing as a cheap one!

1 pointTurns out someone has diddled with them before and ground notches out of the hub mounting bolt holes to adjust camber! Wouldn't surprise me if the springs weren't standard either. I have considered Koni's, but would rather fit them to a less mangled version of the OEM strut. I had a bit of a revelation: Turns out that there is a tapered washer between shock shaft and top hat. I imagine it's just stuck to the bottom of the top hat with crap - how often is it that these things stare you in the face? So now I've just got to confirm those springs are real and then - theoretically - it should all go together fine.

1 pointBut she looks awesome and is under the magic 100000k's so should even appeal to the masses.

1 pointHave a read of this article I posted a few years back on the s54b32 exhuast system. Interesting they use the s50b32 as the test bed. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/27126-oe-e46-m3-exhaust-system/

1 pointGot my boot lip spoiler and halo rings, haven't installed the halos yet as I'm not sure I'm convinced on them yet. Installed lip spoiler quickly after work today, really like it, matches the lines of the e36 similarly to how the same spoiler matches an e39 M5. Can tell my car has been garaged during it's life. I got this spoiler painted and shipped from ebay (To order) - $76ish NZD shipped. Painted in #335 Estoril blue and matches the car perfectly, indicating that the car has had no color fade at all over the years. Very good quality spoiler and quick shipping, I'm impressed. Quick pic as the light is disappearing. Also redid all my interior lights with White LED's when I got home, took all of 3 minutes. Looks much better already although I'll see when it's pitch black out how it looks.

1 pointDriving down lincoln road in christchurch yesterday, saw this, thinking meh, grey E32 how positively ordinary... wait, that pin striping... it can't be a... HOLY SHUCKING FICK... So yeah, Alpina B12, I had tingles up my spine for about 5 minutes. For anyone not aware of the B12 http://www.alpina-archive.com/?page_id=203 And yerp, not just a rebadge, the real deal https://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=gyy483

1 pointYou need a scan tool to reset it..... it's not the same system as the USA vehicles your reading about.
