In terms of getting fines, i reckon it comes down to how you treat the officer. Respect gets respect

Blue/black 1994 850CSi (reg ***55) on SH1 near Meremere, making good progress towards Auckland. Driver didn't look very relaxed? (I hope Meremere didn't have anything to do with it!)

I'll just get the legal type - no one will even notice the difference! Still looking for wheels.. VMR? Seem affordably okay. Not sure if you can get an okay set of wheels around 3-4K in NZ :/

I don't know anything about the handling of these bad boys, but snap understeer? Didn't know there was such a handling trait.

Does this look like a sedan to you??? Taken early into the conversion (obviously) and completed with all OEM parts and no bashing of critical members above diffs, cutting pieces off propshafts etc. Like Glenn I do NOT do bodging, no8 wire work etc. It really gets up my nose when someone works like a bush mechanic and then tries to justify all the 'work' as proper work when challenged. This results in vehicles which are a potential hazard to myself and everyone on our roads. Why should I tread carefully when it could be fatal???

He put that on the front grille, because the original 2.0 XL sticker was already in the "correct" ///M badge spot.... I had a spare one after I took it off the E39, so I made good use of it:

In my opinion nothing beats the e30 recaro sport seats. They look period correct and support you enough for a bit of spirited back road driving.

Installed JB4 last week and promptly destroyed the OEM charge pipe. Factory plastics don`t like the extra boost. Replacement with a BMS N54 Chargepipe seems to have done the trick. Dechromed as a sideline. Took her for a blast on a new road at the back of Hatfields beach over the Northern Gateway. Everything behaved as it should.

I was a mechanic for ten years, I advise you not to buy the super expensive stuff. You don't need it if your not on the tools for a crust. If I were you if go and buy a set with tool box and draws with the foam inserts. I never had these as they take up too much room but It's easy to see if you've misplaced anything at the end of the day. A real money saver if you've lost tools in the past. Find a friend who has an account with Repco or BNT I find there both good brands and will be plenty good enough for what your after. They sell a sh*t ton of different kitsets. Get your mate a bottle of something for there troubles. Most people are happy to help out. If you want a list of tools or me to suggest a kit send me a pm and I'll have a closer look. Just a couple more notes: Go for single hex sockets, you can put more torque through them with out having to worry about rounding the head off. If you want to spend some money on somthing... get a snap-on ratchet, there increadably fine an worth the money. Make sure you have a good 1/4 socket set, deep and normal sockets. Out of all my tools I have (I have lots) I use a simple BNT set with snap-on ratchet the most. Hope that helped.
